Historic and Quiet At Night
Most sites are small but good condition. Easy to find and a short drive to the park off I 68. 30 mph speed limit on park road doesn’t mean anything. Lots of traffic thru the campground during the day driving thru but not camping. Showers have great pressure and good hot water, but are in need of an update. Cell service is maybe 1bar and Wi-Fi is free as long as you stand outside the campground store. Walk 50 feet and it goes away. Hiking trails are nice but needs some maintenance. Clay furnace trail has missing pieces of the short bridges over little streams. Also trails that lead out of the campground aren’t marked. Staff is friendly but there needs to be a speed limit thru the campground. Even law enforcement vehicles speed thru the campground. Coopers rock is amazing and the area is well kept.

Space 10
Very nice narrow road coming in don’t drive off edge large drop off. Pic I posted with trailer is space 10 pull thru/pull off. They say max length is 26 feet but mine is 30 feet plenty of room to spare depending how you angle in. Spot 9 has a water spigot right across road, so you can run a hose to fill up your fresh tank.

Nice
Park is well off I-68, so quiet. Spots are fairly level gravel. Electricity available, but water is at a spigot. No sewer, but a dump station. Veterans and senior discount.

We decided to stop and spend the night on a whim. Very quiet and clean. There is another primitive campground closer to Cooper rock day overlook.
