Nice Spot
Not peaceful 😂 but a nice little campground in a nice town. Busy road in front and noisy trains in back… however they don’t blow the horns too often you just hear them rumbling by. Gravel/grass sites, laundry tiny in a little social room with book exchange. Great WiFi, very nice owners!

Beautiful Place
We are hunkered down here for winter, and I have to say, I really enjoy being here. All the fuss about the trains is kind of comical to me as they do run through frequently ( I would say several an hour ), but they certainly do not sound their horns through this part as the nearest cross street is about 1/2 a mile away. You hear that mostly, so if a train horn off in the distance periodically annoys you - just don’t stay here! A nature reserve is minutes away, as are several lakes. There are beautiful trails to walk your dog off leash behind the property. The park is older and they are updating, so it’s a little noisy now, but you cant really begrudge them for trying to update the park. Very clean facilities, washers and dryers are old but clean and work well, and cheap! It’s no frills, but great friendly staff and Cheney is a great little town!

Stayed a week. Woman’s restroom closed for a few days for redo. Noisy not even counting trains all day and night. Trees being taken down while we were there, lots of dust. Lady in charge of office was lovely but never in office. Had to ring a bell and wait till she got there. All in all not a great experience with two nights in a row RV coming in next to us at 10:45 pm. Not my best to experience .

We only stayed for 8-10 hours as we were just passing through and needed somewhere with a shower. The office was closed when we arrived, but the awesome staff had left all of our paperwork for us, so we could hook right up to our site. The bathrooms were clean and that’s all I could ask for! We weren’t bothered by trains all night (maybe we were just so tired that we didn’t hear them?). Would stay again!

Great Little Park
I stayed here three nights in a travel trailer. It is a great little park and the management was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers, though dated, we're kept very clean and functional. Yes, as it seems with 95% of the parks out there, there are train tracks behind the park but really I seldom even notice them. Great WIFI too. Nice new laundry room and they are in the process of renovating a nice size community room. All in all a Great place to stop over. I was here on business. I will definitely stay again.

Not Bad
Nice clean campground, friendly hosts. We got the last site on a Sunday on the long weekend, very clean washrooms, grounds. BUT you do have trains running by the campground 1000' away 24 hrs. a day, not real noisy, but rumbles by 2-4 times an hr. day & night. Could here train whistles in the distance, but none near the campground.

Not So Peaceful
I have to say the staff is superb, friendly and informative. Facilities are good except the hook ups were on the wrong side for power, water & cable. Site #22. The grounds definitely could use some updating as well as sites are very close together. So one thing to definitely consider, there is a major railway right next to the park and YES they blow their whistles as they pass just about every hour. Park is also located just off the main road with consistent traffic.

Nice Park
There are train tracks near but we didn't find the whistle noise that loud or disruptive.
Maybe camped in back part of park puts you close to the rail tracks, but our site was closers to the front entry road, therefore less train noise?

Not So Peaceful
I agree with the previous review. Cute little place, but not very relaxing! This place should be renamed to Whistling Trains....

Cute... But Not Super Peaceful.
The campground hosts were friendly and the facilities were clean. I can't really say that it lives up to its name since 7 trains came through very close to the camp throughout the night blaring their whistles, not to mention the highway right out front with drag racing cars. Not a great night of rest for anyone in my family. While none of these things are the the campground's fault, I do want people to know of the noise. Without the train tracks and the highway I would have given it at least 4 stars. Cheney was a cute little town, but we won't be going out of our way to stay here again. Thank god for coffee.
