Very Nice, Much Better Than Expected!
Previous reviews were concerning, however we had a great visit! I don’t recommend sites 1-4, but otherwise gravel sites well spaced. Lots to do here even off season, but we were here to visit DC and close attractions. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly, showers were hot. Stayed three nights @$40/night.

Only Game In Town
Dry camping or electric only sites. Slots are grass, park needs mowing. These folks know they're the only game in town, so they don't try harder. I asked the clerk for 30 amp site, he assigned me a no-power site, and I had to correct him. The phones ring forever and nobody picks up. The site we were given was so off-level that I'm providing a photo. (The whole row needed a serious regrading.) The campground area is marked "campers only beyond this point," but local school athletic teams using the next field route hundreds of kids to do laps around the campground property and tie up the rest rooms. It's a mystery hunt to find the dumpsters. On the plus side, the bath and toilet facilities are absolutely first rate, and the dump station is well arranged and provisioned, if you don't count not being able to get around a rig that is using it.

“host” Is A Bully, & Staff Is Incomp
Camp host is a real jerk. He was having a very loud conversation right next to my trailer. I went outside and told him I have a cognitive impairment which creates sound sensitivity, and asked if could lower his volume level. The guy became abusive and said just wait till all the other sites fill up. I’ve been staying in RVsites all across the US, and have never had this kind of reaction on the very few times I’ve said something. I agree with other reviewers who said staff as a whole is disorganized and amateur at best. Manager was called as a result of my “sound” incident, and another camper came over and said the host was a problem from their experience as well. Lastly, sites are very close together, no shade, and are not level.

Horrible
If I could give zero stars I would (for the camping area). Nice park that has a water park for kids, swings, nice trails, fly fishing. It’s a really pretty area. The campground is not well maintained at all. No water at camp sites. Have to fill at the bath house. Very unorganized check in process with the girl giving us out camp site and when we got back to it we discovered people were already camping there. We have a 45 ft Prevost so we had to have a big and level spot. Could not find one and it was so muddy. They haven’t put down new gravel in forever and very un-level spaces. We were charged $50 a night. Go somewhere else if you can.

$$$$$
As novices, we stayed here for 6 nites over Thanksgiving 2017. With only about 10% occupancy, place was quiet. Bathrooms r great with 10x10 room with bench, shower, sink, toilet, & hand air dryer. There is a lited skate park my entrance to camping area that was active from 9 to 9 over the holiday wkend, Lots of walking & hiking trails & a water park (closed in Nov) that looked great for a public park
