Arrived on a Monday and found lots of garbage piled up from the weekend at the primitive group camp area. Hike near there was meh. Swimming beach looked kinda iffy too. Campground was nice though. Well spaced level pads, woodsy and peaceful. Restroom/shower is a private room with locking door. Very nice if it's not busy. Didn't see the ants mentioned below.

3 Day Weekend
The park was nice, swim area was enjoyable. It does say on the website about the ants. This statement is very true. They are everywhere. Spray for ants.

Not Impressed
Bathrooms were awful, but the park was full. We would not go back.

Nice, quaint State Park. Park Rangers were very nice. Level concrete pads. Busy spring break weekend, Park was full but still quiet. 20/nt for 30 amp with water. Buy a TX park pass for 70$ and use immediately for 1/2 off 2nd night. (Good for 1 calendar year from DOP)
