Not As It Seems

We checked in after hours and they never mentioned not to use the front entrance and that they have a side entrance gate for after hours. ( it took us a while to find it and they knew we were coming late ). They have so many dogs barking in the park and around the park that you can barely concentrate. They also have about 50% of long term livers who pass all night on motorcycles and leave every light on at night. Let’s just say it’s not what I’m use to and I don’t think I will recommend it to anyone. On the plus side it’s clean and it’s a gated park because it has to be.

Convenient

I was able to get a spot pretty much almost the same day on a Spring Break week, convenient to San Antonio, clean and neat site. The noise from trains didn’t bother us. Our space was a little tight. I suggested for them to also do recycling as I think everyone should anyway, not just camp sites. Will come back again.

Once I finally got someone to ask about the rates, they hung up on me! Wow. So, this is how you treat new people wanting to come stay there?

Avoid This Place

We had firearms, sticker thrones in the grass and woke up to loud dogs in the neighboring dog shelter. They also refused to refund days paid in advance although policy states they may. Owner refused to talk to us on the phone. We ended up shelling out $130 and leaving anyway. Owner likes to say they are military friendly but he had no problem screwing us over and taking our money for nothing.

Stayed 4 nights for air force graduation. Clean site, clean restrooms. Decently spaced sites, grass area and some shade. Staff wasn't very helpful or informative. Very noisy, Dog kennel next door and train tracks down the road. Would not stay again strictly due to the noise.
