Laundry Rip Off
This is a nice park and well kept but is starting to get a little pricey. Probably the location so close to Sea World drives that. But you have to purchase a card to do your laundry and the card alone is $10.00. So your paying for the privilege of using the laundry room on top of paying for each load you wash and dry. Guess it’s better then going outside the park. We use this park yearly because our kids live 6 miles away. It changed hands and is now a Sun Retreat property.

Monthly Stay
Stayed for month, not able to enjoy amenities as still closed due to covid. We had nice spot for 40ft 5th wheel. But beware roads very tight, low hanging branches with some cars hang out into road a little making it even harder.. Gardner was using weed Wacker right by window and flung rock up and shattered side rv window. Nice big side patio and space between trailers. Good location to town for wallmart. Can walk to a few restaurants. Verizon worked great. Had good wifi. First place i have ever stayed where people don't respect your space and walk through you camp site all hours of day and night.

Little expensive for night, $57, but very nice. Pool and hot tub, clean bathrooms. Nice free books and games.

Damage to My RV
We stayed here in june of this year for a month. When we were leaving to go home on the way out of the park I hit a low hanging branch hanging over the road and damaged my awning on my 2018 Discovery RV. I made a incident report at the main office. I have since learned that blazing star RV Resort does not have insurance they have lawyers that take care of all damage claims and they have refused to pay for my awning to be fixed due to their negligence in allowing the branch to be low enough to damage my RV. So just be aware if you stay in this park and you damage your RV due to their negligence they may not pay for it. I would give them zero stars but I cannot post this message unless I put one star on here.

Luxury And Convenience
Definitely a Resort! The grounds are picturesque, and the facilities modern and clean. The Winter Texans are very friendly. Many people exercising and lots of dog walking. Everyone would stop to chat. We were visiting family and it was so convenient to come and go. Quiet, and lovely. AAA Discount.

Wonderful Park Wonderful Amenities
The park itself is expensive, but well worth the cost! My family and I are military in the middle of a PCS and this has been a perfect alternative for a temporary living situation. Previous comments mention how the park is more of a long term park, that is simply not true. Depending on the season and events occurring within San Antonio depends on the visitors you will have. They try to split the park so that most of the monthly residents are closer to the back, while temporary visitors are towards the front and closer to the pool and amenities. I have been here for awhile and most of the “residents” have already moved to their next destination. The park and facilities are very well maintained and the staff is very approachable, friendly, and helpful. I have had a wonderful and positive stay while I have been here. The cost may be a little more expensive then most but, all I can say is you get what you pay for. This is definitely one of the nicer parks we have visited.

A Great Place
I think this is a great place to stay! I don't know what some of the other people are talking about, but the lawn is mowed, place is clean, staff is friendly, I don't feel at all unsafe. There are quite a few full timers, but they seem to have their stuff picked up, a lot better than other parks I've seen! It's a little on the pricey side at around $50 per night for a standard site, but I think it is worth it.

Retired
We stayed 4 nights. Really great park. Cement pads, friendly staff. Don't depend on your GPS. The staff talked us into the park on the phone. Very helpful. They were helpful finding the Chevy place for truck repairs and tour guides for our visit. We would stay there every time.

Best In Town
Great value, friendly and helpful staff, concrete pads and paved roads. Heated pool, laundry facility, conference room, nice dog park, large trees, overall very nice park. That being said, not all sites are equal in that you may have to walk through grass/dirt/sand/mud to get to and from your RV, depending on the lot and size and layout of your RV. Quite a few of the sites are a bit challenging to get into and it would help if some of the trees were trimmed or even removed. Big park and provides a great opportunity for nice walks, even at night. The roads are well lighted, except for the back row. We stayed 6 months and would absolutely stay again. Visited the other RV parks and stayed at one other for one month and I promise you won't find a better one in the Westover Hills area.

Was Nice Years Ago
Was very nice years ago. Now it's run down and full of full timers and their junk. Yard is weeds and so is the air. Our neighbors never quit smoking marijuana. Never again.

Park is getting more like a trailer park instead of a rv resort. More full time residents than part time residents. As a result sites are not maintained by site renters or park owners. Some are very junkie looking. Dropped leaves and blooms from live oak trees this spring are not picked up by lawn service or site renters. Security does not exist. No security fence or gate, as a result sone items have been stolen from sites and autos/trucks. Swimming pool great, dog park big, roads are narrow so caution is needed driving to and from site. Best park in NW San Antonio.
