Two months from WA state, Florida panhandle and back. This is perhaps the best state park we've stayed in! Sites are very size adequate and clean. The park is beautiful. Restrooms and showers immaculate. If you want to experience the Texas Hill Country, this is it!

Great state park
We had a great 3 day stay here in July. The river is awesome and very clean, the sites are very shaded with lots of trees and lots of space between rv sites. It's a short drive to San Antonio, Natural Bridge Caverns, and New Braunfels.
The only draw back was we couldn't get full hookups at our site, but we had water and 50 amp.

We stayed here for 12 days in April 2018. The sites are very nice, although some of them are fairly small. Beautiful area. The staff at the entrance were very helpful and friendly. This park was 100% booked every weekend although about half the sites remained empty. We were fortunate enough to get a cancellation so were able to stay for the weekend. Very quiet during the week. More activity on the weekend but still very nice. Great hiking trails throughout the park. The park and campground are very clean. Bathhouse was clean, and well-maintained for its age. Wifi was at the bathhouse but was pretty much useless. No signal at all only 2 sites away from the facility. Hope to stay there again.

Looking for a peaceful place to get away from the city this park is close by and fantastic. I'd give it a 5 star rating but the fishing is not the best. But swimming floating or just relaxing there a 5 star in my book.
