Nice Stay

Staff was great. Good sized sites, we used pull thru. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice restroom and laundry facilities and good dog park. Cell phone signal was poor as it's in a valley. Wifi was slow but available. We have stayed here on two occasions and will return.

Diesel Pusher

Nice place, large spaces. No wi fi, no phone service, its really in two locations. One on side of river road with only stairs going directly into river, no usable shore line. Phone service there only. Across RR and up a hill and down into second part, the larger part of park, has no phone service and way far from river. Has nice pools. Next trip ill be making the reservations along the river for sure.

Cons: WiFi poor reception at site, good in office. Cell phone reception will depend on your phone as sites are in a hollow. Pros: large sites available, quiet. Friendly and accommodating staff. Price quoted was monthly rate in Jan of 2019. We seriously considered staying 2 months but wanted to explore further south. Groceries can be purchased anywhere from 3 miles (small market), 8 miles (Brookshires). 18 miles away is Wal-Mart, H.E.P., Penny`s, Dicks Sporting, Camping World, more. Beautiful country. Guadalupe River borders a portion of the park with plenty of trout. No dog park at this time tho there is a great dog walking area. A terrific dog park is approximately 15 miles away. `Lakeside Dog Grooming' and Sara (located by Brookshires) HIGHLY recommended!! Our Pyrennes well cared for at a fair and reasonable cost. When we return to Texas this will absolutely be our destination!

Dog Breed Discrimination

Was told that my German Shepard is not allowed at their campground. Such discrimination against dog breeds. I’ve seen smaller dogs of different breeds mean as all get out. It should be a case by case basis on dogs not being allowed. Wish there were zero star option. They don’t deserve even one star.
