The pull through sites are pretty tight and sights are not very level. But This is a really nice park with lots of shade. Nice trails. We would come back. Check the 2 other a.c.e parks on this lake. They are nice too. Alligators in this lake.

Another Nice Texas SP
Park HQ where you must register and Hen House Ridge campsites are on Park Road 48 south of US190 while Walnut Ridge campsites are on north side of US190. Only the Hen House Ridge dump station is in service.
No sites have sewer but all RV sites have water and electricity. $20 sites have 50/30/20 amp pedestals. $16 sites have 30/20 amp pedestals. Tent sites are 1xx numbers. 2xx numbers are RV back in sites. 3xx numbers are RV pull throughs. 4xx numbers are screened in shelters with a couple of mini cabins. 5xx numbers are in the Walnut Ridge area and are RV back in sites. 6xx numbers are in Walnut Ridge and are screened in shelters with a few mini cabins mixed in. A few cabins have window air conditioners.
Showers and restrooms I saw were very nice and clean. Roads and pads were all asphalt in decent shape. Lots of mature trees for shade. Pads were pretty level just long and wide enough.

Walnut Ridge Unit.
Large campsites with concrete tables and fire pits, park was very quite but it was 1st weekend of January. Rangers are very nice. Enjoyed the hike/bike trails thru the woods. Had to use the dump station on south side of highway because north dump station was closed for repairs.

The roads and pads in the north section are deteriorated with some pretty tight turns. Otherwise it's a very nice setting with decent facilities.
