Pretty normal campground - one I stayed in had full hookups and pull through spots. Drove through the other 3 camp areas and one with full hookups was basically a parking lot with spots around the edge. 2 other camp grounds just had water hookups but were completely empty. Historical fort and mission on grounds as well as some decent walking trails. Not bad stop for 1 night.

Disappointed
This past weekend I visited Goliad State Park I was very excited since I read good things about this place. Needless to say I was disappointed. There is no shade!!! Too many gigantic ants :( theres nothing to do. Park seems isolated maybe 3 -5 rvs parked in the groud. Definitely not a place to take your children. We spend both days in the RV watching movies and playing board games. Trails need a little work. No playground. Mission its beautiful! Love the history of the town. Park is small. Attendance Brenda looks and sounds like she hates her job.

Very nice Quiet Park
Very friendly staff here in a park adjacent to a beautiful historic mission. Older park but everything was well maintained, clean and functioning. We had a full hookup on a pull through site. There are two separate RV areas. We stayed on site 20. Great walking and bike trails. They have loaner tackle in the office if you want to fish on the nearby river. No license required in a Texas park when registered. The only drawback is for very light sleepers as there is a little traffic noise from the nearby two lane highway. It did not bother me or my wife though. We would definitely stay here again.

Park is a great place for history buffs. Nice boardwalk that takes you to downtown.

Three Park Hosts?
Ants have largely taken over many sites. Pull through are great, but not sure how they can allow three to be used by supposed park hosts. Number of sites too few. One of them was either keeping two outdoor cats or feeding strays. Also say park host letting their dog run free while the rest of us are continually warned to keep on leash. Would make sense to have at least one of those hosts in the other campground.
