5 Stars If You Boondock
This is a very rugged State Park up in the mountains. It is 100% boondock. If you are okay with that, the views are amazing. We just stayed 1 night as we were heading west. There are only 5 RV sites, but there was only one other RV the night we stayed. We loved it and would stay again.

OK If You're Pepared
Only 5 boondocking RV sites, no water, no electric, no dump and no close toilet. This park is mostly a day visit area for hikers from nearby El Paso. Site #1 and #2 are unlevel but still OK if you have levelers. #3 is short, about 30 Ft, but fairly level and you can park your TV nearby. #4 & 5 are for bigger rigs on a slight uphill slope. The nearest chemical outhouse is a couple hundred yard hike. Walmart and gas stations just down the hill 5 miles or so from the gate. Great hiking, lots of trails, and listen for the incredible nightly coyote serenade. Hey, this is the SW high desert, folks!

LOUSY
I had reservations for 3 nights. Could barely fit thru the narrow entrance way with my 30' TT, had to move their decorative rocks out of the way so I could make the turn. Signage is non-existent, finally found my reserved pull thru site and their was a 5th wheel in it. Erika the ditsy park manager told me to go back to the entrance and park in a gravel lot, after shoe-horning my self out of there I found out she meant "Oh, the other entrance..." I had no idea where the other entrance was and I had no way of turning around again anyway. Got my money back never to return.

Nice Park
We live in El Paso and camp here regularly. We have a travel trailer so we have to use our generator since they don’t have any hookups here, including water. There are 5 travel trailer spots but several tent spots. We never have a reservation and have never had a issue getting in and we’ve been here many times. The hiking is wonderful and the sunsets are great. It’s a hidden gem here in El
Paso and perfect for a overnight or short weekend stay.

Avoid This Place
There are 5 spot and they are by reservation even though the gate signs say different. I pulled in after dark and had a man come up to my vehicle from behind in the dark claiming to be a park employee franticly asking me 20 questions. Then states its a reservation only park. As a woman thats not cool! I called several posted park numbers and searched for a ranger without results. The place needs a little tlc and an employee reveiw in my opinion.

Not the easiest park to find . Very quiet but not a bad place to stop over for a day or two. Been here twice.

Tried to stop here to camp, it's closed. Construction stuff everywhere, no place to turn around with a camper. We had to back onto the highway. Call first, during a weekday.
