Tent
The wildlife here is exceptional. Tent sites are great but there are open range cows so some dried manure. In the two days I was there I saw roadrunners, Javelinas, bobcat, coyote and a mix of beautiful birds. The 107 degrees didn't feel hot (April), and the large cottonwood trees provided good shade.

YES!!
If you're an RVer who can boondock for a couple of days, this is the place - no hookups, no generators, no camp fires. We stayed for a week. All sites are level and some are big rig friendly - others are pretty small. We have a 30' TT + tow truck and had no problems getting in. Sites are well spread apart from your neighbors. Close to the river, but there is a barbed wire fence around the CG, so you can't get there. Several non-potable water spigots sprinkled around, and one potable spigot by the entrance. A couple of vault toilets that are well maintained and clean...well, as clean as a vault toilet can get. Close to many popular hiking trails. We stayed in mid Jan and the climate was more stable than many CG's in the park that are at higher elevations...mid 60's day, mid 40's night. I expect summer could be pretty brutal. Great star gazing. $16, $8 with senior pass. Needed my cell phone booster to get a signal.

Wow if I had my choice and they said we could stay at the Hilton or we could stay here I would definitely stay at this place
