Mini Waterfall Tour
Stayed at Rock Island (Site #7 - 8/15/24 thru 8/18/24) in our 40 ft. 5th wheel. Site was fairly level. Good water pressure. Bathroom/shower house was very clean. Dump station was easy to maneuver. Curvy, hilly roads - which are normal for this area - but very much drivable. We took a mini waterfall tour in the area - Great and Twin Falls, and all the falls at Fall Creek Falls - and had some amazing hikes. Campground was a great home base to come back to after hiking and waterfall sightseeing. WiFi was OK as well as cell phone coverage (AT&T). Everyone we met was super friendly.

Site-6
Great facilities, staff and scenery. Enough trails to keep you busy a couple days. Some sites are very short. $36/night

Winter Visit
Stayed here three nights while it dumped 6" of snow on us. It is a beautiful park with great campsites. The bathrooms and showers are super clean. there are many hiking trails that lead to several waterfalls. Our site accomodated our 40' fifth wheel with room to spare, and in spite of the snow we had full electric, water and sewer hooked up.

The Only Thing Missing Is A Stream
One of the nicest parks we have visited. The only thing missing is a stream and more spaces with sewer. Very nicely kept from the mowing to the restrooms. We try to say at mostly state parks just because of the more wooded sites and site seeing plus it is more economical to be able to go more often.
It is not a place with water slides fancy stores or nice restaurants but it is a nice setting in the woods surrounding every site they are just not very big sites. Sites with a sewer hookup are slem so you better plan early.
Note if you are over 40 feet you better look somewhere else.

Rock Island State Park
Very nice beautiful park. A lot of nice shade trees. Sites are spacious, concrete or asphalt. Some are inclined so may want to call and ask ahead. Some sites have sewer. Swimming area and boat launch on Caney Fork River . Very scenic swimming area with high cliff on one side. Lots of great trails. Great Falls Dam nearby. Can walk down to river and see several waterfalls. Beautiful!

Chill Nice Relaxing
Very quiet park st least when we stayed there. No reservation. Just pulled up. Sites are up in the hills away from the river which kinda sucks but still good place. Good facility’s. Hook ups. Showers.

Beautiful campground
This is one of our favorite locations in Tennessee. Most of the camp sites are level and easy to get into. This park is amazing and has some awesome hiking trails. The bath houses was very clean and convenient to the camp sites. We will definitely be returning.
