WALMART DOESN'T OWN THE PARKING LOT...

So the manager came by and seem to think it was OK to park there... Walmart closed at 1 AM... And Walmart DOES NOT own the parking lot... At 11:30 PM the Security Company knocked on the door and explained that we needed to move on as the owner of the lot didn't want the liability of overnight campers... It pretty friggin' tough to find a parking spot at after 6 PM... Well 81 miles later and at 1:43 AM we were lucky enough to find a spot at the Benton TN Rest Area... NO OVERNIGHT PARKING AT THIS LOCATION!!!

There are signs that say no parking, but there were a ton of trucks and other RVs parked along with us. We had no issues! I could see the area in which the other user saw the group of transients, but we did not come across them nor see them. We actually appreciated the grassy area so that our dog could feel comfortable doing his business! Also, cute little mexican place in the strip next door, perfect for a night cap before bed ;)!

Homeless Hideaway

Although it is a nice, fairly-level parking lot with sufficient spots available and with its convenient location to nearby restaurants there is a homeless tent city in the woods across the road. We were approached by one homeless man while there and if it were not for the fact that we were with a group, we would not have overnighted here.
