What a great weeks stay, staff is super helpful and the grounds are well maintained. Bathrooms could us updated and laundry rooms are ok but they really need to put up a sign that tells you how long the drier (60 minutes) and washer (26 minutes) take. It’s right off the highway but it’s not to noisy. Perfect location to all the fun stuff. We did have to move our rv on day 3 because the original guy that led us to our spot put us in the wrong one. But they did make up for it by giving us free fire wood and ice. It wasn’t a big deal just annoying lol. Definitely will be back for vaca in a few years.

My husband went in the hospital and I call the cancel 2 weeks before I was supposed to ride and they said they could not give me my money back unless they rented Myspace how will I know if they rent in my space is what I'd like to know so I lost every penny I put down and I paid for the whole time I was going to be there so I think they have a very bad cancellation thing especially when people get sick and can't come

Stayed for first three days of Sturgis. Very quiet and peaceful setting in tall pines. Under new owners working on improving campground. Pool, hot tub, lots of hiking paths and shower/ laundry close by. Only issue is the campground is on a hill so navigating with a motorcycle can be interesting. Campsites are terraced so ask for flat space if hauling a bike.

Beware of predatory cancellation policy.

Great place to stay for visiting all the attraction in SD. Owners are outstanding and do a great job with the park and making visitors welcome. ✝️

Great Location

The name was changed to American Buffalo. We stayed in site C17 for 4 nights with our 44' fiver. This is a beautiful park with pines and spacious sites. The rest room and laundry are very clean. It is very close to Rushmore and the black hills. There are so many RV parks in the area that are run down and very tight sites. Don't waste your time on them, just book here! Only draw back is no dog park. We will stay here again next time we are in the area.

Stayed at the new American Buffalo Resort. Nice and clean. Lots a little close. Rates compare with other resorts. Visiting kids in area.

Great Place!

We stayed at the now “American Buffalo” RV Park Resort from the July 11th till the 17th 2018. We had initially reserved for 3 day’s and had to put our truck in the shop and the owners were able to work it out so we could stay the extra days! We all loved the $2.00 all you can get pancakes for breakfast! The girls had so much fun playing basketball and miniature golf, as well as swimming in the sparkling swimming pool! Really nice bathrooms and showers! Close to all of the day trips and a Walmart. If we’re ever back that way we will stay there again!

The campground has a front section closer to road for most RVs. The spots are tiered next to each other and not level. The play areas are nice but near the highway which made me nervous even though the campground is higher than the highway. The staff was very dull..not the super personalized owners who care about you that we are used to. All and all it was a good location and one of the few that was not just a parking lot like most of the competitors down the road...but the walmart is very close and a free option and basically only a 10 minutes from most camp areas in this location. South Dakota has so much to see and do its worth a few days vacation time.
