Nice Park
Sites were very close and the water pressure wasn’t great but to be expected for mountain towns. Overall this was the perfect spot to points of interest like Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sturgis and Badlands National Park. The road into the park is paved, the sites have gravel but compacted for motorcycle riding.

We Took A Chance....Fail!
The good. Close to Mount Rushmore..that it. If you camp and like to relax at your camp site..forget it. Road noise, camp noise, host noise. Owners own ATVs and constantly going up hills to The cabins. No fire pits or grills allowed. We were told there was a fire ban in the Black hills.....they lied! Campsites are uneven side to side front to back. Sightseeing helicopter pad nearby lots of help noise. We stopped at some campgrounds in the national Forest that had spots. We would have left after night one but we they don't give refunds. Suggestions to The Host: don't lie, have a grill between camp sites, add more gravel to camp pads, make level. Did I say don't 🤥

You Pay For Location
Central and easy access location to all the sites. Gravel sites. Cable TV was fuzzy and 12 channels. All pull thru sites but our canopy was within a foot of the neighbors slide. No real level area to sit in a chair because you need that area for the picnic table that's provided. Daytime and evening road noise dies down about 11pm. If you are active and gone all day, it's perfect. If you want to relax with a book, it's not for you.

Great Time!!
We stayed for 3 nights at the end of the summer season and really enjoyed the cozy and rustic nature of Holy Smoke RV Park, as well as its close proximity to the town of Keystone. There aren't a lot of sites, but they're tucked in among trees. The road into Keystone runs behind the RV sites, but it's elevated, and we weren't bothered by traffic noise. The resort offers a discount at the nearby Powder House Restaurant, which has excellent food. The park also has cabins on an upper level, which we did not check out. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Campground , however next to highway and expensive. Stayed early May 2019 , it was snowing outside and was about only customer, 1 of 5. Expected off season pricing but still had to pay full .

Not worth the cost! We stayed at Holy Smoke (resort) campground 9/14/18 for two nights only because they will not refund for any reason. Called ahead to reserve a spot and they charged or credit card the full amount before we arrived. $41 and change per night for full hookup and what they call satellite which is just 12 cable channels. Sites are gravel fairly level side to side but they are all slanted end to end because they are on a slight hill however leveling wasn't a big problem. There is also a highway right next to the campground so you can hear cars going up and down a rather large hill. Keystone is just a couple miles down the road and Mount Rushmore is about 10 minutes so it's handy in that regard but there are better campgrounds nearby especially if you have kids or would like to take a walk.

Use This Park As A Last Resort
It’s not a great park but suffices. Definitely not a resort as stated in another post. A dozen or so RV sites right next to the highway. I had to use all my blocks to level because the gravel site was so steep. They do have a few cable channels. The WiFi was the worst I’ve experienced. Pets are welcome but there are no dog parks and a very small loop around all of the RVs to walk ours. I would try to find another camp before staying here again but like I said it has the basics.

Not A Good Choice For RV Park
This is not by any stretch of the imagination a "resort." There is not a single amenity, just cabins rented on the top of the hill and a strip of close together RV slots at the bottom of the hill 20 feet off the highway. We can not even level our 30 foot camper because the gravel slot we were assigned is too steep. We drove by ten nicer places today, but Holy Smoke people are very specific about not refunding a deposit to cancel any days of the reservation. The wifi is fine until the place fills up, then the bandwidth is insufficient to supply the full Park. Do not believe what they advertise or show on their "resort map".

Great Location
Small no frills campground. Right off the highway and close to shopping/Mt Rushmore monument. No problems getting in/out with 37' 5th wheel & dually. People & staff were very friendly. 4 ☆'S for no pool or laundry. Otherwise, we were very happy here and would return.

Great Location
About 5 miles from Mt Rushmore. Price was lower than we expected for proximity to attractions. Very quiet to be just off the highway. Nice small park so little car traffic around sites. There are no public showers in case you need them. Staff is very friendly too. We stayed here in a 25' class B w/ tow car. I think all sites were pull thru's.

Will never stay here again worse week camping ever. Can't use your charcoal grill no water pressure all stone drive and sites. So small not enough room to set a picnic table.

Holy Smoke Resort
We stayed here with a 40 foot fifth wheel. There is free WiFi. The sites were about average distance apart. The resort is clean and hookups were easily accessible. Ice is available on site for 2 dollars. Keystone is a nice place and had several attractions. I would recommend it.
