This Came Up As Number 1
We searched for the best camp grounds in Custer. This came up as #1. It is very nice, quiet. Lots of tall Pines. The owners are very attentive. You won't go wrong staying here. This campground has many tall pines and some hills. It was very nice. While I was there my dog escaped and the owner assisted me in catching her. Many Thanks. They were very helpful.

Awesome Location
So we came in for an overnight to visit Mount Rushmore and crazy horse. Both are within half an hour drive. We were the first for the season. Got to meet the owner who is hands-on cleans the place up. Make sure all the pipes are working . We had an awesome site. The woods were clean. They were trimming trees to make sure that these higher fifth wheels and RVs can make it through without scratch . They are still making improvements. They have shower bathroom units although we didn't use them. They are up against thousands of acres of national park and have access to trails so that you can walk or take trail bike. We will definitely be back but for a week not a day

I fell upon these reviews whilst looking for somewhere close to Montana. We hadn’t planned on Custer, S. Dakota, but this sounds like such a nice campground, that I think we should take a detour.

Wonderful Campground
Big Pine is a wonderful campground. We have a popup and the site we were in was extremely spacious and had water and electric. We were conveniently close to the shower house (which is very spacious and clean as well) and the playground. The owners are very courteous and accommodating. If you need firewood or ice you can just call the office and they will bring it right up to your site. It is very well manicured, clean, shaded, and quiet. I highly recommend this campground and will be staying there again. Be sure to make a reservation as it is constantly full.

One Of The Best
Spacious sites surrounded by pines. Adjacent to beautiful, grass covered hills. Staff very friendly, very quiet area. Five minutes from shopping and restaurants in Custer, and we parked our RV at the town library where there’s a large, empty lot. Short drive to Mt Rushmore. After getting stuffed into a sardine can at a previous koa, this campground was an awesome change!

Accurate Reviews...
The positive reviews contained on the site correctly depict this is Park is pleasantly laid out with ample space between sites. Staff was more than welcoming with positive attitudes and demeanor. We had some scheduling conflicts and the staff did all they could to assist. The three days we were there, the upper section of the park was amazingly quiet with campers with great camping etiquette. Something rarely seen today. A great experience. Highly recommend.

Great Campground
Spent 3 nights during July 4th weekend. Owner/mgt staff were extremely professional and friendly, without asking we were offered veteran discount. Owner very caring checked on safety of all campers during stormy weather. Campground and bathrooms were impeccable and campground is close to all attractions. Highly recommend and will return.

Not My Style Campground
First, this is not my style campground. Usually I prefer remote camp grounds with few to no people. This was not that. But because I came out here with my wife and 3 year old for 10 days, I opted for full hook ups. This place was far better than I could have hoped for. The owners were extremely friendly and organized. Everything was very clean. I could not have asked for more. Had multiple deer come through camp. Not bad at all. I would come back.

This Is The Place
Not very often does one get to stay at an awesome RV Park. The owners, Ron and Angie go way above and beyond to make sure your stay is top notch. The sites in the woods are large and roomy. The deer and wild turkeys going through your site is an added bonus. I can finally say it after 10 years traveling in our RV, "The wifi was working and available..." This is the place to stay in the Black Hills.
