Great Location
We stayed here for 6 days and loved it. Great location to many attractions. Place is very clean. Camp spot are clean, nice and big. The staff are really nice and easy to work with. And it’s very quiet here. Laundry facility is clean and reasonable price for washing ($2) and drying ($1.25) I would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Custer, South Dakota

Great Park And Awesome Location
We stayed here for a week and loved it. Perfect location to visit Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind and Jewel Cave and Custer State Park. The park sits in a heavily wooded location and you feel like you are in a forest which was beautiful. It’s a hilly park but very manageable. The staff is five star and very helpful and available. They escort you to your site and help you set up. They bring firewood to you if you buy it. Location, sites, staff are all 5 stars. The sites are pretty level and large. We were in the back down the hill and it felt like we had a double lot. So beautiful, wooded and peaceful. Cannot think of any cons other than the steep hills to get to your site but there was charm to all of it. We had some trouble with our Starlink because of all the trees so be careful with the site you choose if you use Starlink. Some sites have better north views for Starlink. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat and this is a solid 5 star park. Book it!!

Motorcycle Country
We made reservations the day before arriving for 1 day and ended up staying for 2. Lots to do and see in the area. The area is very popular for motorcyclists and most everyone in the campground had a motorcycle, ATV, UTV. Lots of them on the road in front of the campground where our site was so during the day it can be loud but it did not keep us up at night since traffic dies down. If it's something that bothers you try to get a site away from the road but we were last minute so we were fine with our site plus we weren't really there during the day. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facility was well kept. We'd stop again

What a great park. We stayed at spot 700 and have a nice level full hook up for a very reasonable price. We passed other campgrounds and they were packed in like sardines. The staff work extremely hard for you to enjoy your stay. We have been full time rv since June and so far this is our favorite spot. Can’t say enough good things about the park and staff.

Hard Review To Write
We booked this six months in advance for a long summer road trip. We booked 8 nights and specified a site (we have dogs and wanted privacy) and Twila assured it was all set. When we arrived, they said they were completely booked and new employee had screwed up the bookings. I don’t know how that is an excuse... We literally had THE SINGLE WORST SITE. 691/690 (used to be 2 sites!?). It was teeny and we had cars constantly alongside our 24’ TT. Our dogs could barely fit out the camper door before hitting the utilities and then the fire ring was on the other side of the site. Todd, one owner was VERY accommodating, but every other staff member was rude and flippant, it was really just... disappointing. Location is ok for getting to Hill City or Custer. As far as we saw, the facilities were clean (we didn’t use them). Definitely bring water - tastes terrible here. The grounds are very dusty and if you book all that time for something specific, it’s crummy to be moved for lame reasons.

We Showed Up On A Whim
And they took us in for 3 days no issue. Around $135 with tax fees. The owners were very sweet and everyone else on the campground. We had to fill our tank since they had a leak which was no big deal, as it was just a walk to the building and back to turn on the spicket. Although, they’ll do it for you, if you ask. They had friendly and well behaved dogs. The laundry room was clean. The store was nice and very reasonably priced. We bought Go gurt for the kids for 25 cents, ice cream for less than a dollar and local wine for $21. We made friends with a few of the other campers. Stayed in the upper part close to the street although next time we’ll ask for the lower section so not everyone staying there has to drive by us. Although no one was wreckless, it made us a little nervous with our one year old. Would definitely stay here again just on the hospitality alone.

Great location and price
Just outside of Custer State Park, close to everything. $36 for electric/water RV pull through. Friendly family owners. Clean bathrooms. Kids enjoyed the pool. Definitely recommend!

Just spent a wonderful week here. The new owners have been here just about a year. They are making a lot of improvments. A family owned park and they make your stay wonderful. I'll be back.

New Owners
This campground has new owners and they are trying to make improvements to the grounds. The roads around the park are steep and the sites needs some work to level them out. There are only a few of us here right now. I wish the new owners all the best.
