Ft. We-LOVE-it!
Very woodsy, which means shady and cool , especially compared to surrounding campgrounds of which there are many, Perfect location: 15 min to Custer State Park l’s beautiful Sylvan Lake, 5 min beyond is Needles Eye continuing along Needles Highway and connecting to Wildlife Loop where we saw hundreds and hundreds of bison and many many calves. 5 min to “downtown” restaurants, etc. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and no highway noise since it’s not near the main road. Kiddie Fort with playground equipment for the kids.
We absolutely LOVE this place and the only one to stay in future travels.

Great Campground
I have taken my family here once and my brother and son again for a guys weekend. Both times, we had an amazing experience. Located right outside of Custer State Park as well as within minutes of downtown Custer. I recommend to anyone!

Shaded And Nice
We definitely enjoyed it here. It was very shaded and felt like a state park. Yet it was close to town, we even biked into town. And it is close to Sylvan Lake.... beautiful! Owner, Steve, was very nice & helpful. Yes, Wifi is weak, but hey, you're on vacation! Bathrooms are individual & nice. Sites were spacious too.

Beautiful!
Beautiful setting. Loved the trees. Nice spots. Only negative was the showers, small and terrible water pressure - plan to use your own facilities. Easy access to all the attraction. Quiet. Good for kids. Worth the money for a 3 night stay.

Unlevel Gravel Sites Horrible Dog Park
I can’t believe all the 5 star reviews. We were in site 25, site 24 face us. Our picnic tables are 10’ apart. Big slope and no privacy to our neighbors. We have dogs, they had dogs. Horrible 4 days of whispering or going inside at 8 pm. We had to make a 45 degree turn to get into our site trying to navigate around all the trees. Weak WiFi ended up using our own ATT hotspot No, we won’t stay there again.

This was one of the best campgrounds we’ve stayed at. Wildlife everywhere! Spots are very roomy. Bathrooms and showers are excellent and private. Each bathroom has a shower stall, sink vanity and stool with your very own hot water tank full of softened water, all behind a locked door for privacy. Very nice! Staff was very nice and very eager to ensure our stay was nice. Can’t say enuf good things about this campground.

Beautiful Camp!
Perfect location! Friendly staff, we arrived a day early, they were able to accommodate us. So glad we were able to stay an extra night. We were able to visit all the local attractions including Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and restaurants/shops all within a short drive from camp. Unique playground for the kids, looks like a fort, clean campground, well maintained, has two laundromats. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

Great Location
This camp is great. Really nice folks and lots of shade from mature trees. Centrally located for lots of area attractions. Would have no problem staying here again.
Reply from owner/manager: We glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again in the future.

We traveled 4500 miles this summer with 3 Kids and stayed at a lot of campgrounds. Stayed during the 4th of July two days. Nice bathrooms. Not a campground that you’d spend the day at with Kids playing. A nice base camp. Not good for riding bikes around. Very average. Not wonderful nor bad. Very close to town and near my rushmore/lake silvan.

This place is great! All the amenities. Private bathrooms and showers. Full hookups. Large campground and good size sites. Friendly owners. Playground for kids is unique. Set up as a fort and has teepee, swings, slide, and more. Also has laundry. Would definitely stay again!

Favorite Campground To Date!
This is our favorite campground we've stayed at in the U.S. since we started RVing. Most spacious sites we've ever seen any where. Surrounded by trees, wood fire ring at each site, clean roomy showers and bathrooms if you need them, early checkin at 1 PM, and very friendly helpful management. It was a bit cold when we stayed there so we didn't get to check out the pool but I heard it's nice. This is the only campground we will stay in if we are ever in the Custer area again. Easy 5 stars for this veteran owned and run campground.

Great Base Camp!
Great base camp for all the Black Hills sightseeing. 1 mile out of Custer, yet feels super country. Tons of stars at night! Deer and turkeys right in the campground. Fenced in dog park which isn't something I've seen at other campgrounds. Super simple and quiet campground. Well maintained. Veteran owned and operated. Will definitely visit again.

Great Park
We stayed for 3 nights. Very centrally located. The staff is very friendly, sights easy to get into. Full hookup, cable, wifi. Picnic table and fire ring. Place for kids to play. Showers very clean. Would highly recommend this campground.

Our spot was nestled in natural pine grove. Deer munching on grass outside our window every nite. Private bathrooms were a welcome surprise. No satellite reception, but campground offered free cable and wifi. Nice family campground that accommodates tents as well as big rigs. Staff willing to help with whatever we needed. Close to downtown Custer, Custer State Park, and Sylvan Lake.
