Best Campground For Us!
I know a lot of stuff was closed there during the Covid years (2019-2021) but stuff is open and they are well staffed with friendly knowledgeable people. It feels pretty much like it did before Covid hit us. They’ve got a nice indoor pool and spa. Walking path to the beach. There are spaces near Wi-Fi antennas around the park to where you can get some signal. We have got enough to be able to stream things on TV. If you go down to the lodge or by the store, you get a lot stronger signal. The 2 lodges are nice. The campground is clean and they’re making improvements all the time. Most of all the people that work there are so nice and courteous and willing to help out. You see the rangers all the time checking on things.! I think the previous reviews (that talk badly about it) came during hard times when a company was changing hands and during Covid. It’s our favorite place to go. To be able to bring our dogs and feel comfortable means a lot too.

Go Somewhere Else
Nothing was open. Store/community room closed. One person onsite at the guard gate. No wi-fi, one shower for too many sites. 70.00 a night for??? The only thing with mentioning was the beach was across from the “park”. Much better options elsewhere.

Nice Resort
We love the value that the 1000 trails membership brings and enjoyed this resort. Lovely family lodge - cute store. The indoor pool and spa and nice. Easy access to the beach which was great. The adult lodge is really nice - and the organized activities were great. We would definitely stay again.

Disappointment
Made appropriate reservations for size of rig and arrived to be told, "go find your own spot". Sites were crowded, is states of disrepair, and ours had dig poop all around the site. Fortunately, for us the site cost us nothing as we had a free membership for a year. Quite honestly, I would not stay there for free as we pulled out early. The place was a dump, as we have generally found other 1000 Trail parks to be. Will not be renewing membership as state parks are much better than 1000 Trails and Whalers ever thought to be.
