Short Walk To The Beach
If you like the beach and the sound of it at night, this is the place for you. It's close to Newport for all your needs. Got a few TV channels and there is good phone and internet reception. Sites are fairly close together but there are trees in between so there is some privacy. Great biking and walking paths in and around the park. A great place for families.

Clean, But Busy, With Some Small Sites
The sites are not very deep, which means that your RV, or rent, might be very close to the access road. There are a lot of LARGE trailers, with equally large trucks pulling in until late at night. Great if you need a place to park your RV while you get out to the coast and explore, but not the place to go if you want quiet seclusion.

Near Charter Boat Fishing
Beach access. Close to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and not too far from Newport. Clean and nice.

We only stayed one night, and we definitely want to come back! Only explored a tiny bit of the campground. Had a great walk out to the beach. Wonderful soft sand the kids enjoyed. Spots are pretty close together (and there's lots of them), with little privacy. Lots of hookup spots for RVers. Facilities included free showers, which were great.

South Beach State Park
Great park with spacious lots. Plenty of hook up sites Fire pits were great with a built on grill. The bathrooms and showers were separate and very clean. Plenty of facilities throughout the park. Short walk (1/4 mile) to beach. Only downside....so many mosquitoes!! You had to spray all day everyday including your dog. Also, some firepits are too close to your trailer so smoke would get in....I dinged this park for the mosquitoes alone otherwise it would be 5 stars...

South Beach State Park
Big campground, but nice. Away from highway noise. $31 for a site with electric and water. Dump station at entrance.

Very Soggy
This is a great place as the other reviews say. However, be careful if you reserve for the seafood and wine festival. We stayed in February 2017 and at least half the sites were ankle deep in water due to recent rain. This would be pretty disappointing if your reserved site was flooded when you got there

Great State Park!
Even though it is a large and busy park, it is very well maintained with a great professional staff and volunteers. Nice trails for cycling and hiking. Several convenient accesses to the beach, even ADA accessibility. Great place for beach walks and sunsets. $$ Support your parks! A very good value ($29.00) I would definitely stay again.

Large campground, right off of the coast. Beautiful area right near a couple small towns. Friendly staff, large spaces, and great bathrooms. If you can get a spot, do.

Clean bathrooms, clean sites, very well organized. Great trails to the beach. Very well maintained. It is big and busy but our site was still quiet. The dump line was long leaving on a Sunday but a great alternative was a free dump at the Chamber of Commerce in downtown Newport.

I Loved it
$30 per night. Beautiful, I would give 5 star if the bathrooms were heated. Nice hot water though. Beach access. Highly recommend
