Good For Tents / Smaller RV’s
If you like to hike and fly fish, then this a good spot. Smaller RV’s or tents should be the rule here. Road is very uneven, as sites are but you have great access to the river and trails. Considered taking my MH here, but after looking at the access, narrow roads and limbs, decided to skip this CG unless I was tent camping for the weekend. Each site has a table and fire ring. Beyond that , you’re on your own.

Great For Hikers, Too
There is a trail that runs both directions from the camp. One direction goes all the way to the guard station at the spring (primary source of the river). The other direction takes you downstream towards the hatchery. Grand hike with the river almost always in view. A completely natural river, no man made interventions. Entrance road gets a little rough in late summer and fall.

Hidden Gem
We came upon this campground by accident but am so glad we did! Much quieter and cleaner than other sites on the larger Deschutes River. The Fall River itself is clear and glacially cold but absolutely beautiful. Huge ponderosas and even a bridge across the river. We caught a few fish and hooked some larger ones on streamers. Campground is simple but clean and our 32' RV did fine. Highly recommend!
