Great For A Quiet Night
APRIL 25, 2021. Third stay in same spot #6 by the lake. Level concrete pad. 35 ft occupied by vehicle and trailer. October , windy, Twice in April travel to and from the West windy. But Lake view, great staff and facilities well kept. Showers and comfort facilities bright and clean. Quiet respite from I 40

Great Spot
We stayed 3 nights in Cottonwood Campground FHO RV spot #1. We stayed there off season and had the campground to ourselves. We had a great time. Our 6 year-old loved the playground, the bathrooms and showers all worked and were clean. There was plenty of fallen trees/branches and the park policy is that if it's on the ground you can use it as firewood. Great hikes and lake activities within a short walk or short drive.

Cottonwood Campground
We took our 35’ fifth wheel to the cottonwood campground. The few FHU sites in the park are pull through (30/50) and are long and NARROW. So narrow that if we hadn’t have travelled with friends, we would have left. Some spots have faulty electric, so DO NOT forget surge protector. Both of our friends (spots 2 and 3) had electrical issues. The park came out and replaced the breaker the next morning and they were super friendly. We were in spot number one that opened up to the tent sites. No shade until the evening for that spot. State park is beautiful, swim beach is fun but there was quite a bit of trash in the sand. All in all, fun trip and beautiful park. We will return.

What a nice surprise. This is a beautifully maintained camp ground. This will be a park that I will return to.

Worth The Stopover.
We got a great lakeside semi-modern site. Windshield faces the lake. Pull through sites full paved, quite level. Canopy trees between each site. Should've book a 3 night instead of overnight. Maticulusly maintained.

Full Hook Up Sites Extremely Close
Playground nice, sandy beach dirty not very clean around area. Grass too grown up on trails to hike. I heard lake nice if you have a boat, we don't. The campsites for full hooks too close, no space to sit outside except in front of rv.

Camp Grounds
Park was very nice, people were pleasant very friendly. To take shower take plenty of quarters, this is the first campground that you have to pay for showers .50 cent for 3 min. I understand the need to conserve water I just found this a bit odd

Great sites, clean bath house, and really nice Park Ranger. He showed us the buffalo herd, and spent time answering question. It is windy here, but that's Oklahoma.

Beautiful Park, but Too Many Flies
This is a beautiful park with several campgrounds. Our site is across the road from the water. What a beautiful view and the sunset was gorgeous tonight. Our only issue was our obnoxious neighbors. Small dog on the loose, so no one noticed when he potties, so no one picked up. Then came the generators. The rangers took care of that. That gives this park a plus in my book. There are a lot of small flies that land on you and then don't move unless you bat them. My Boston Terrier had about 25 on her. She wanted to come inside which is very unusual for this lovin' the warm outside dog. I'm giving the park 4 stars because of the flies, which is no fault of this otherwise fabulous park.

Great Stop
This place is great ! Large coaches or small, easy in and out. Dark and quite at nite and good fishing during the day. We stayed for 3 days , went to town and did laundry and washed the coach at our site. Ck it out

Very Enjoyable
Sandy Beach campground all to ourselves. Great views of the lake, nice beach with lots of birds, amazing starry sky - leave the rainfly off if you can! There are a lot of flies in the afternoon, but no other animal issues.
