Not Bad

The location is prime. You are in the middle of all that hocking hills offers. You can access trails from the campground. But the campground itself is just ok and expensive for the quality of the campground. We stayed 3 nights in a full hookup spot. The campsite required quiet a bit of leveling and my sewer hookup was higher than my discharge. Other sites had campers packed in with only a few feet between campers. The shower house was being held together with all the coats of paint and bathrooms weren’t any better. Pool wasn’t bad but not nice. The entire park is gravel. The campground appears that it has only been maintained the last 10 years and nothing new has been added or upgraded.

Open But Scenic

Little pricy, but you are in the ideal location if you like caves, and waterfalls, and hiking. Full hookup would have been $48 but I didn’t need it and was only there for a night. Very pretty campground, unique showers, each has an outside entrance with a locking door, nice private showers. Laundry room was handy with a nice big tub/sink if you need to hand wash anything. Management that I met was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place, most sites are not level so bring some levels if you need that. They have some primitive sites that are very excluded, walk in only, but surrounded by woods.

Enjoyed Our Stay

Just stayed here this past weekend from Thursday to Sunday and really like it. We had our 2 big dogs and they loved all the hiking the area has to offer. It may not be the newest and most up to date but it's a nice change to get away from technology for a weekend as there's hardly any phone reception and the only wifi is on the office front deck. Will definitely be back to visit again!

Just A Note - FYI

Not a review as I haven’t been there yet, but something I noticed on the website that could be important to check is that ‘some dates’ incur a minimum stay restriction so even if you just want to stop in for an overnight, double-check the reservation page. When I checked it for a Sunday evening, it told me there is a two night minimum for that date.
