Staff seemed friendly and helpful at arrival. Escorted us to our site. FYI-when turning in on the right from highway, (4 lane Hwy=noise) there’s no decel lane to get into so beware of who’s behind you. Once you turn in, it’s two lanes that kind of go downhill. You will have to stop at a check in booth as soon as you come in which doesn’t leave much room behind you for anybody else. Exit is another separate driveway. While there were plenty of big rigs, the entrance and roads seemed like they would be tight for something of any size. Got a creekside site. Creek was nice although houses on opposite side. Long but VERY narrow site. Thankfully we were in my 23’ camper with no slide for this trip. Not sure if we could’ve opened a slide if we had it. Didn’t try awning as we were here for a truck show at fairgrounds and didn’t spend much time at camper. Does have what looks to be full timers/park model types as well as “tiny homes” in some areas.

Never Again
Nice ppl and facilities but..... if you don’t enforce the rules it makes it miserable. My wife and I just wanted a quiet weekend. Dogs next door we’re not on leashes. When we tried to get in our camper from a walk one of our dogs was attacked. We went directly to management and alerted them. These ppl should have been thrown out immediately. They were “talked to”. 2 hours later when we came out of our camper there was a dog lose in our campsite AGAIN! I went over to comfort the ppl and they became combative. We simply packed up and left. No matter what, camp grounds must be strict on their rules. For comfort but more importantly safety. Never again we will visit this facility.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Had pull thru shaded lot near play ground and bark park. Happy with location on the creek. Just wish there were some trails you could walk. Feeling stuck without subsequent ride. Recommend their cabins and great for bikers

Really Great Place
June Visit. Excellent staff who were helpful and hard working. Paid a little extra to back up to the creek. Shady and water noise made it enjoyable. Restrooms and showers were cleaner any others we found in a 29 state trip. Easy in and easy out to visit the many visitor spots in the area. Butts on the Creek was right next door and very good. Will return next summer for a longer stay in our 21ft Travato.

Spots are not wide. Nice camp ground went few times with pop up. Don’t know if I’ll take new rig in there it’s 33 ft.

Nice Large Campground
Large campground right in Maggie Valley. Paid extra for a premium creek side site that has a concrete pad at the rear of the site next to the creek. Our spot was very narrow but long. Parked 32 foot camper and large truck and still had room front to back. Our slide out was very close to the neighbors awning on the back and our owning was pretty close to the people in front of us. Overall we liked the campground but it was noisy, very busy. Tons of loud bikes running first thing in the morning and people playing music. People walking through our spot to look at the creek. Would probably stay here again in the off season.

Here In Winter
Quiet, facilities available even in winter, lots close together but everyone is super nice so far (past month). Great for kids, good laundry facilities.

Will be ready to leave here tomorrow. Loud music and trailers so tight together there's hardly room to walk between them. We had no slab either. We go to bed listening to people talking on their porches a few ft away...And today (weekend) & crazy loud music! Owners apparently don't care if it disturbs others. Don't people realize we come for peaceful rest and quiet, to listen to the creek, NOT to listen to loud rock music? I'm disgusted. We won't return.

Overall quite area but a huge disparity in sites. We were assigned a very small pie shaped site and were told we couldn't encroach on ajoining site when parking. We had 2 vehicles.
