Overnighted in the overflow section that doesn’t have hookups. Electric sites are reservable online. The nights do get chilly and it is in bear country. Nice easy walks to the lake. Lots of mountain bikers were enjoying the park.

You Have To Go
Pictures just don’t do this place justice. We were so pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it was. We stayed at Lake Alice CG which is where the water/electric sites and dump station are. Sofa Pocket CG(dry camping) is up the canyon a ways but the views are awesome. Definitely will return.

Nice Little Stop Over
We stayed at Sugarite as a stop over on our way back home from Wyoming. We stayed at the upper campground. It was a nice area with scenic views, and I would definitely stay there again.

Best get away in North Eastern New Mexico plenty of wildlife to see. Campsites are clean and easily accessed. Will definitely return for a piece of tranquility.

Great spot, especially the upper campground. But no services, except restrooms.
