Beautiful Location, But ....
Fenton Lake is a beautiful location, but the campground was designed when tent camping was the norm. Maybe 10-15% of the sites are suitable for a 20' RV and then you have deal with tow vehicle parking. Some sites are level-ish, but many require considerable blocking effort to level. There is a single drinking water spigot at the boat ramp. So bring your 5 gallon water jugs to transport water. Nearest groceries are available in La Cueva (10 miles) and fuel in Jemez Pueblo (30 miles). No cell service. FYI NM126 from Seven Springs to Cuba has a 15 mile section not yet paved that can be a white knuck adventure to drive when wet or snow covered. I would not pull my 25' travel trailer through this even when it is dry. This is a popular destination so weekends and holidays are very busy. I do use this park as a base for area fishing during the work week and sleep in the shell of my truck. Quite pleasant!
