Only got to spend one night here but I can say it is probably one of my favorite camps in NM. Very beautiful and serene. Elk were bugling off in the distance during the night, then there were the cows (as in bovines) in the morning. Plenty of room for your rig and a host on site. Will definitely be coming back!!

A Nice Small Campground, But ...
This is a great campground, but if you want to drive NM126 from Los Alamos or Jemez Springs west, beware. There is 9 miles of unpaved dirt/gravel/red clay road that is NOT GOOD if it has rained. So don't even think about it. Add that to a narrow, twisting road that is an "adventure" in dry times with a trailer or motor home. The approach from Cuba NM is not a problem. The campground is very pleasant nestled in the spruce, aspens and ponderosa at 8600 feet elevation. Asphalt throughout and the sites are not crowded. The sites are somewhat level, so bring your blocks. No power, no cell, no dump. Central water from a hand pumped well. Clean pit toilets. $10 and $5 if you are a seasoned geezer like me.
