Needs Maintenance & TLC
Sadly this place needs some attention. Low to no maintenance shows - site not maintained, (our picnic table in over 3" of dirt/sand), trash everywhere including tires, and weeds over grown for a few items. The sites are not clearly marked. Many occupied sites have rigs/trailers that have nit and cannot be moved - unclear what they are doing with their sewage since the sites do not have sewer hook ups. Many also using more than 1 electrical outlet. Let me also mention to at least 4 loose dogs in the park. We had to carefully walk away with our dog as the loose dogs were approaching us barking and snarling. No collars and no one outside to call them off. The views are SPECTACULAR!! This park could be a gem. As of now, I'm glad we are here only one night. Due to the roaming dogs we could not sit outside with our dog because they kept running over. I understand that this is NOT a resort, but looking at the Google photos Red Rock CG was previously taken care of.

Water and Elec at Site, Sewer off site
Picnic tables are on back side of camper. Reserved a site months in advance and needed pull through to handle towed vehicle. Received online message that day for check-in that included my site number. Somebody else was in it. Just missed office closing but a worker was around I talked to. Said take another site, double bookings happen all the time. Was lucky to find a site. It's a no for me!

Overnight
Pulled in at 4:05pm They only take reservations. We called the number they closed at 4pm We tried to make a reservation on line it took our money, the web site told us it would email us our parking instructions. We never saw an email. The place looks nice it was very windy and lots of blowing dust. We moved on down the road.

Very nice area, and quite. Would be a great park if you could tell the camp spots from the roads. Maybe a little gravel? Campground looks to of had a recent upgrade of the electric and water. The office closes at 4 pm so a camp host would be nice also, to give some directions. Only saw about 30 to 40 in the area we were in, there may be more in other areas. I could not find any maps on line, nor any information at the office.

Friendly People
Does not open til mid-May. The helpful lady on the phone recommended 3 parks an hour East.

Not Impressed
This place has changed and does NOT have 300 spaces. Much of the land has been repurposed for a balloon park. The camping area is a mess. Spaces are mostly tiny, fine for little travel trailers, but there were only a handful that I could get my 33’ 5er into. All spaces have shared water, and there’s no grass anywhere, just loose red dirt, which makes a huge mess whether dry or wet. The biggest issue is the lack of any signage. It’s very difficult to tell where the spaces are. While the scenery is gorgeous, I would find another place to stay next time.

One Night
Very picturesque. Arrived with some rain, and it looks like there was a major washout. Mud is everywhere, but it is hard pack under less than 1/2 inch of the red muck. Overall not a bad place. Check in is over by the convention Center, and make sure to get a key to the restroom.

A Little Tired
Many sites are on packed dirt/gravel. For desert area many have small trees to offer some shade. Hiking trails typical of the desert. Very windy so we canceled our barb-q plans. No wood available. Some campers appear to be living there, some highway noise but it is in the distance. Ask for key to restrooms when checking in. Sites have electric and water that all appear to be working. 2 dump stations, water at waste station located as you exit valve is broken so forget rinsing anything. Sewer cover at same dump area lid removed with large enough opening that a small child or animal could fall in, I replaced it the best

Great Place
Stayed a few days the middle of March '18. Loved it. Quiet when I was there but assume it would get a lot noisier in season and when rodeos and other events are held. Absolutely beautiful rock formations.

Lovely City Of Gallup Park
Stayed overnight on way to Santa Fe. It was a great park. Pads are sand, yards are sand, everything is sand. Price for 50amp and water $22. Most are pull thru

Great RV park. Woke up to a special sight of a hot air balloon filling up and taking off.

Beautiful area, needs maintenance.
Great scenery, good price. Grounds need cleanup. Very confusing site layout. W & E with dump site. No reservations and pay at the park office down the road.
