Free, Very Close To Carlsbad Caverns

You'll actually go a little past where the map marker is and turn right on Washington Ranch Road then take the first right. According to the BLM website, you can stay up to five nights here. The spot is awesome because it is free and so close to the park. There are RV spots and tent spots. They were full so I parked on the side, there was lots of extra space around the perimeter. Several tent campers were loud at night but I was grateful I could park there.

Free Camping Close To Carlsbad Caverns.

We found this place in this website. Did some research and decided to check it out first. We are glad we did. The first night the campground was full and we parked next to the east fence. Moved into a camp spot the next day. Was there 3 nights total. Pit toilet. BBQ grills. Trash cans. No water, make sure you bring plenty. Whites City water was out at the gas station during our stay. Would stay here again if in the area. You can go to the information center in White's City and pay $3 a person to use the showers at the RV park for the day or $15 to dump and fill your RV, up to 60 gal of water.

Stayed several nights. Enjoyed Caverns & local food in Carlsbad. Many water & ice machines in town to stock up.
