Nice campground with a lot of activities. About 15 min north of Columbia.
30 amp sites (1-10) have a slight slope, but I was able to level with my 30 foot Class C
Tent area in the basic sites…close to the bath house.
Definitely coming back

Pretty Nice
This whole park is built on a reclaimed open pit coal mine. They did a real nice job in restoring it. It is noisy, however. There is a gun range and ORV/dirt bike course in the park. 30 amp electric site is $26.00. In winter, there is just two pit toilets in the camping area. The main toilets/shower building opens in April. There are several small lakes with canoes for rent. Fire wood for sale. Nice trails.

Loved This Campsite.
It really is a hidden jewel of Columbia. A state park only minutes from Columbia, yet hidden from plain sight. This campground offers all the amenities of a family get away! We spent two nights here. Hiked the walking/bicycle trail... very rugged terrain, clearly marked. Rented kayaks and spent a few hours exploring the water trails. Bathroom and campsites were very well kept and clean! Firewood was $4 a bundle.
