Stayed the week if 4th if July . Our stay was awesome ! Our paved site was shady , lots of trees . The area was quiet , no loud music after 10pm , other than the train coming through , which is ok with me, most of the traffic was golf carts ,which you can rent from the park . The water park was great , very clean , food good đź‘Ť. The kids had a blast ! I will be coming back soon for relaxing summer fun , Or fall fires in fire pit . Love it đź‘Ť

Scouts
Not very friendly towards scouting. No camping areas, sites are very small. If we wanted to camp, we would have to pay for a campsite for every 2 tents. We found a friendlier site.

No see ums we’re pretty bad the first evening & the following morning. Location is kind of difficult to get to due to elevated train tracks & narrow roads. Site seemed nice but needed a little maintenance. Quiet except for the train every so often. We’re going to try the Silver Slipper RV area a couple of miles west of Buccaneer next time. Seniors so no children, but park appears to be well equipped for families with children.

Not A Nice Park
I will start by saying that the only way to this park is via a very sketchy 1 1/2 lane road with no shoulder that goes straight into ditches on both sides. The park itself is very run down and gloomy. There is almost no cell phone reception. Most sites are not level and very narrow. Additionally they do not offer a refund for early cancelation but a petty credit voucher for a future stay. I would avoid this state park and advise anyone reading this review to look elsewhere.

Drive In Is Not Optimal
Nice park with level sites. No fire rings, which we were disappointed about. Park was pretty empty when we stayed there. If booked it would be pretty tight between rigs. The drive in is less than optimal. We came from the east on I-10. Had to go through some residential neighborhoods with low branches. Streets narrow with no shoulder at points. There’s a steep hump to go over the train tracks. We made it okay but could see how bigger rigs might bottom out. (We are F250 with 36’ fifth wheel, 13’2H)

Beautiful View & Lots Of Grass
Very beautiful view. We paid $48 with tax to be next to the Bay. It was absolutely beautiful and had lots of grassy area for our dog to play in. Staff was also very friendly. Do Not follow the Google GPS. Stay on Lakeshore Road all the way to S Beach Blvd in order to avoid steep train track crossing.

Great Place To Stay
We overnighted here on our way home from Florida and were impressed with the size, cleanliness, and condition of this park. Sites have plenty of space between them, with lots of grass and trees throughout. We used a FHU site, but if you want to do water and electric only, the beachfront sites are the way to go. We ate fresh seafood in Bay St Louis and enjoyed our entire stay here.

We Loved It!
It was so fun for all of us. We stayed in royal cove and had a great time. I think next time we will stay in treasure cove.. it have paved sites, picnic tables, and grills. Royal cove didnt but we didn't need all that to have a great time.

More urban the natural
Huge park. Full hkups. Decently spaced sites but most with little privacy. Train tracks run along northern area and trains came every 4-6 hours, once at 3 am shaking us awake. Laundry, store, pools, waterpark, playground, disc golf, waterslide park next to it. Nice location with little traffic during the week at least. Not much for being in nature except for a few trails. Likely great if you have kids.

Super Fun For Kids, Nice For Adults
This was a very nice park. Spacious spots, paved with picnic table. We stayed the Wednesday before their big Halloween weekend and folks were moving in for the sold out event. The water park was closed, beach across the street from the park, but it was a quiet walk in the evening past the playground a d disk golf course with the dog. Yup, there were mosquitoes but they came out later. Nice park, we would go back. Bathrooms were very pleasant and clean too. Other campers waved, greeted with good morning and were very considerate. Probably need reservations most of the time, but this Wednesday evening was really empty. ( move ins were coming for the weekend trick or treating festivities ) Great Park for families!!

Kids Loved It!
We camped in the back lot surrounded by trees it was beautiful and sites were pretty private. The town down the road Bay St Luis was lovely. Kids loved the park, my husband loved the frisbee golf. The pool, camp store and water slides are closed in the winter. For $28 it felt like a deal

Best State Park In MS
This park has everything you need or want either here or close by. Nice big spacious level sites. Full hook ups. A water park as well as a swimming pool. Located right on the gulf of Mexico if you like the beach. Several fishing piers within short distance. Would recommend it for any purpose whether alone, a couple, or family.

Great Camping Site
A lovely park, just across the road from the golf of Mexico. It is separated from the gulf by a very quiet road and very close to beaches nearby. Lots of amenities including a water park and playground within the park! We were there doing February and the park was very quiet and the waterpark was not open but I would imagine doing the summer and warmer months it will be a blast. Weather was great at the time we visited. Individual sites are not too crowded and there is reasonable separation between spaces. A few miles from the lively Bay St. Louis with great restaurants and miles of white sand beaches around. We were driving across the country and found this very nice surprise and only stayed there one night because we had to be on the move. We definitely recommend it and we’ll go back there if we ever a visit this area again.

We enjoyed this park. Close to lots of beach access, bathrooms decent, large playground area, pets welcome. We did not use pool or water park so can't comment on those.

Love The Premier Sites
Love the premier sites. Nice a quiet with spots overlooking marsh. Only complaint is the railroad running at the back of the park. The trains will remind you they're there at 2am. Love to visit downtown waveland and bay St. Louis.

Awesome Location
This State Park is in an awesome location, tidy and clean and the RV spots are spacious and paved FHU.
You can choose between shady or sunny. Nothing is missing here.
