Very Nice View

We spent $36/night with the senior discount. Full hook-ups with a broad level concrete pad. Pulled in on Thursday night and selected a site overlooking the reservoir from the nonreserved sites and stayed 6 nights. Will definitely stay there again.

Decent Overnighter

We stayed in N15 level wide concrete pad, full hookups that work as they should. No Wi-Fi seems quite and secure We arrived they told us to pick a site and pay in the morning. They apparently have tennis courts and pool we didn’t use only stayed one night. Did inspect one bathroom it was disgusting the other by the office is better but not great they seem to have a lot of monthly rentals

Great Park Oct 4-7

Had to travel to Jackson for a Doctor visit. We took camper and stayed here. Has a great layout w nice wide paved spot. Grill and table at each. Grass was cut and edged and looked great. Since we were only two nights and not much notice they put us up near the front of the park. Lots of sweet spots down by the water and they were packed. Interesting to see a nice tent camp area here that was also pretty full. Also a full timer area which was fine. Did not use facilities but place looked great and a great location. Would stay again but book far enough out to be by the Barnett res to have the best of it. Happy travels.

Nice Location

Lots of shade in the available spots. N1-N66 are first come, MR spots are on a LONG wait list. Spots at entrance are only for reservations. Playground has had some small fixes, park employees seem to be often making improvements and repairs around the entire park. Nice location to still be close to shopping and entertainment. Long term campers are very friendly and quiet. I think we've been paying $30 per night in the N section with full hookups. Office is recommending phone payments to eliminate contact.

Home Town Place

We used to live in Ridgeland which is nearby. We now come in our RV to stay and visit family and old friends. Jackson metro has lots of very good restaurants. They rebuilt and modernized the campground a few years ago and made it more friendly for big rigs. The campground now has a limited number of sites that can be reserved, which is great for us. It usually fills up in the summertime when school is out. Some sites are so level even in the new section, which is my only annoyance.

Meh...

RV park, not a campground. Okay if you are passing through and need a place to stay for the night.IMO, not a destination site. Lake sites are for resident RV'rs ?.

It Will Do.

Reserved a spot later this year for a wedding. I was told only reserved spots were up front. I'm about 50 ft off main street. Not pleased but it will do. Hoping when we arrive I can get another spot.

No Wifi

No wifi as advertised. Concrete pad was broken and sunken areas made leveling a bit more work. Also, big rain filled the sunken areas like a pond, so you couldn't get around the rv or to your truck without getting feet soaked.

Good Close To Home Place

We have been here a couple times as a close to home weekend getaway. They have a playground, swimming pool. The spots are close together, but the areas are shaded. There are quite a few permanent campers, but there is always an overnight spot available without reservation. Very friendly people.

Dirty. Cluttered. Pads are broken up concrete. Unfriendly to short term campers. It's more a mobile home type park. I would not stay if a not for a medical necessity medical.

Great place and view. Only some are reserved, others first come first serve. Lucky to get last spot

Turning Into a Trailer Park

Always loved this places but More and more spaces are becoming long term rentals. Boats, yard Knick knacks, furniture, signs.... all starting to take over this park. It’s ok for daily rental people to have to look at this garbage. Monthly rentals rule this park... if they don’t like something you have up, reservoir patrol will come tell you to remove it. Soon there will be no daily rentals.

Great Campground and Area

Can't beat the location for boating, gas stations, dining out, shopping, meat market nearby, Kroger across the street, newly paved roads, and a new bath house. There are places with too many pine trees but there are new sites that are more open. Small boat ramp parking but only a hassle if it's crowded. We love to stay here!!!

Great Site

The site is clean, right near many conveniences (shopping, gas, groceries) and a bike path. It was surprisingly quiet for such a busy area. The staff is very friendly and helpful!

Bike Trail

Paved bike trail at the park entry. It goes NE for about 3/4 mile or SW then SE into town.
