Called about staying at Temperance SP. They were full and recommended Eckbeck. We drove there, and they were packed, too, but we drove through. There was NO privacy! From the front entrance, you could actually see every single tent in the cg, and that was the whole cg. There was one rv, and the rest were tents. I dont hate tents, but you could see every single one from anywhere in the campground. I'm glad we couldn't get in, so we went on down the road to Little Isabella, and it was very nice. Read my review there.

Good For A Few Nights
This campground is first-come/served. It has maybe 6 or 7 sites that could accommodate medium-sized RVs (<30'), but the majority of sites are for tents. There are a few sites on the river (we got the best spot #18). Its right off a busy road so there's some traffic noise during the day for sites closer to the entrance, but not too bad. Dirt roads are narrow and full of DEEP potholes. Drinking water, vault toilets, trash and recycling. Dump and water fill station a few miles south in Silver Bay on City Shop Road. $17/night in Jul 2022. Nice campground although I preferred Finland CG just a few miles up the road with its larger and more private sites. Short drive to the state parks and to grocery and shops in Finland and Silver Bay. No trails from campground unfortunately, but there is a small pulloff down the road to access the state park trails (for cars and trucks but not really enough room for an RV to park). Awesome area!

Fit our 25ft camper easily in a spot right on the river. Great place to camp and close to the North shore!

Little Jewel On River
Nice little campground. Some sites have access to river. Only other access is thru picnic areas. We found an adequate site for our 26 ft RV. Only pit toilets but clean. No access to any trails from campground, that was the only negative for us.
