Tight but nice

Like most state parks in northern MN it's all booked up on the weekends, but can usually get a site during the week. Sites are 30amp only, no water or sewer hook-ups. Sites are a bit tight for our 34' rig, and be careful when navigating the campground loops. Nice park with lots of trails and close enough to Bemidji for provisions. Need either $7/day or $35/yr state park pass. There are showers and restrooms.

Top Five State Park

We have visited 23 different state parks in Minnesota in this is one of our favorites. Mix of rustic and electric only sites but there is on-site water to fill up your tanks. Lots to do for a state park including a visitor center, beautiful boardwalk hike that goes through the bog to a gorgeous little lake in the woods. A really nice clean beach, excellent biking with access to the Paul Bunyan bike trail. The charming town of bemidji is only 10 minutes away. A great place to go get supplies, visit the Paul Bunyan city park, and get ice cream. FYI, the rangers are very active and check every site for the slightest infraction. Site 64 e is probably the best site.

Beautiful Campground

This park has lots to offer...clean lake, great hiking & biking trails. Shady, grassy campground with large sites but it is hilly! Read descriptions of sites carefully when reserving. Super nature center with programs.
