Mud Pit Or Dust Bowl
I've stayed here several times, but ONLY because it's convenient for family visits. 90% of the campsites are sheltered by trees (a plus). However, there are too many. No grass. So when it rains, it's a nasty mud pit. When it dries. It's incredibly dusty. Have to close your windows to keep the dirt out. Trees that have been cut down have stumps remaining. Sites are cramped. There is no gravel on sites except the few that have had gravel brought in by individuals. None are paved/concrete slabs. Wifi works very sporadically. Cell service in the area is poor. There is a hiking trail around the pond (a pond, not a lake). The trail is only maintained in the sections used by the staff to haul brush away. Trees have fallen across the trail, making it difficult to hike. And impossible to bike. A couple sections of the trail are barely wide enough for a single foot to step, and markings show that people have slipped down the pond embankment. One section of the trail is so overgrown I won't walk

Big campground
Mud mud mud. Road coming into campground is horrible giant potholes!!
Could be a beautiful place.
Put some effort in, buy a road grader.
Close to everything you would ever need.
Overall it's a nice place.
Lots off people staying here that work, and they all start their trucks at 5am.

Avoid
If you don’t have a lake front site plan on your site being all dirt and if it’s not raining, plan on A LOT of dust! Sites were VERY tight except for sites to the right upon entry of the grounds. During our stay they offered a large water slide including a large inflatable in the water. Our 2 kids went to pay the $10 fee for each to be able to use the slide. BUT, the employee wouldn’t accept our money because “the office was closing”. The funny thing is there was someone in front of our kids paying for the same thing. The employee accepted their money.

Now A KOA
This park has recently been turned into a KOA and they are still doing some updating. I was a little disappointed that on the KOA site it says there's a putt putt course and dog park but they haven't finished it yet. However, we had a wonderful lakefront site in the woods. The swimming beach was nice, my daughter loved the water slide, and it was great to be able to fish right from your site. All the employees were wonderful. If they keep on this track it'll be a five star campground in no time.

Fishing was a Hit
Wanted to get our camper out after purchasing and this was one of the few open. Fishing was a hit and with a lake front site the kids could fish all day and night. I called two weeks prior and they told me everything would be open (due to coronavirus). Nothing was available to the kids. And they still charged full price. We went in for a Friday thru Monday stay and what little grass there was, was calf high. I rated decent because maybe the issues were from being closed from covid. The store had very little available. The “dog walk” was just a strip of grass along the side of the road. The sites are dirt and rocks with very little grass. The swimming area has about 6-12” of sand/dirt and then the water. It served our purpose and got us camping. Appeared to be a Lot of seasonal campers that live and work from the location.

We were traveling and needed a stop for the night. Although this is not right off the highway, it’s well worth the ride. We camped right on the lake and it was so peaceful. The park is very nice and there is a water slide for the kids in the lake beach area. There is a walking trail around the lake with benches to enjoy the view. Fishing is allowed also! We would have stayed longer if time allowed!

Last Minute Stay, Helpful Accomidations
We pulled in here last minute in prime Michigan summer runtime with a 44 ft rig and they made room for us for over a weeks time. The park was a bit ruff, howevethe kids loved it,they had so much fun especially after our long haul. They allowed our dog and our motorcycles. Staff was friendly and helpful for the little things we needed. We are planning a stay this summer 2019, for a two weeks stay, Which we will review again.

Awesome Trip
When I pulled in the campground we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. The staff was absolutely fantastic! We can’t wait to come back to visit.

Stayed here August of 2018. Our bikes were stolen, the sight was a muddy mess and the owner and employees didn't care. Jeff Foxworthy would have a hay day at this park! Worst park we have ever stayed at. One Star is too much. Run, don't walk away from this place

Going Down Hill
My husband and I have no other options in the Detroit area. We made reservations for a site without trees - last year we got stuck trying to park in the woods. When we got there all they "Had left" was one under the trees but big enough for us to manage. Their attitude was very poor when we showed the email with our reservation information with their approval for our request. We spent 3 nights in a total dust bowel! Zero grass. There were shag door mats left at the site. Firepits had refuse within. Bathrooms and laundry were filthy. The worst RV park we have stayed in the last 3 years.

So Sad!
I made reservations the day they opened for the season for Mother's Day weekend, memorial weekend 4th of July and my sons birthday. My information was in the system (I've only had a 39ft camper) I said I wanted to be on the water. Then we got there for Mother's Day weekend and everything was great. My mother in law and I went to check out the sites for the other planned trips and they sites where WAY too small. We went to the office to let them know and they said there's nothing they can do because it's all booked. You have to tell them the size of the camper when you book your spot, and my paperwork from that trip shows I have a 39ft camper. Then the owner was called and he said there's nothing he can do. I was in tears! He said the only thing he can do is give us our deposit back. I said i called the first day you opened so I didn't run into any problems, he didn't care. He wasn't even willing to see if someone would trade spots. He even said the other people booked after us. So sad!

Great park, sites were easy to get and out of, had no problems at all. Facilities were nice as well and there is a nice playground and water slide on the lake for the kids. We were able to get a site the same day we called. Would recommend.
