We have a small travel trailer, and it was still tight. If they could reconfigure, by taking out 1-2 sites in each row, it would be easier to set up the site, and then most sites would get the Lake Michigan view. The 50 amp sites are in the front and all we could see was the backend of the huge rigs. With that being said, would we go back? Absolutely! We walked around and circled the better sites on their map for next time. I liked the little store, and the road around the campground was excellent for walking the dogs.

OK
This is what I call a Campground, not an RV resort. That being said, it is functional and area the best campground in the area. It is a bit tight, but it can handle big rigs. Sites are narrow with sparce gravel pads with grass. Full hook ups are available. The front sites appear to be designed for pull in motorhomes. Back in units struggle with utility placement. It is relatively close to all services in St. Ignace. There is a free shuttle to the Mackanaw Ferries. The front sites have a nice view of the lake. This campground does have a private access primative gravel beach where you can take a dip in the lake and enjoy the view of the Mackanaw Bridge. Staff was nice but not very involved or informed. It was a fair value for her price.

Beautiful
Beautiful views. Very tight roads and spots. Great spot for easy access to Mackinaw.

This would be a lovely park under most circumstances but I would definitely avoid it in Mayfly season. I had hundreds of them in my RV. It was so miserable that I couldn’t stay a second night as planned. Management would not give any refund despite not giving any warning of the intolerable conditions when I made the reservation just a day before arrival. I suggested that they should share the situation so people can make an informed decision about where they stay. Their response was that they thought I would have known already (even though I’m from 2000 miles away). I’ve travelled to all 50 states and never seen swarms of flies like this in my life.

PERFECT VIEWS
We chose this RV Park because of it's location being so convenient to many attractions...not only did it make out day trips easily accessible, but what we found to love evenmore was how quaint & welcoming the park and the staff have been during our stay. Most sites have lake views, however with a quick walk across the street, any guests can enjoy a quick swim or a leisurely walk along the shoreline. We had a nice pull thru with full hook ups. The also have options for pull in front row sites {best views of the lake} or dry camping in the back of the park. It's family owned with no frills amenities, just the basics most would need {showers, laundry & small store}...we would definitely stay here again!

More Than Just A RV Park
My biggest take on Lakeshore; It's not the well managed facility and the quiet and calm that Karen offers her guests. It's how friendly everyone is. We met campers that have been coming here for 30-40 years and new comers that we had such a great chat with. It has that really nice ma & pa feel to it.
We hope to return. Thanks Karen!

Loved the people and park. Very first responders friendly!!! Had a spot that allowed us to watch the freighters plying the straits. Easy drive through, or space to park trailer.

Love Michigan!
This is a very nice campground. It is clean and well kept. The laundry facilities were very clean. I appreciated sign on door stating one person at a time and please wipe down when finished. The virus has not disappeared. The wifi was very good. Nice view of Lake Michigan. We will stay there again. The only negative would be the sites were very tight.

Very nice campground nice people. Beautiful view of the lake. Easy access and bathrooms were clean. The only downside was you could hear the traffic and was surprised there wasnt any activities going on being the holiday weekend. I'd visit again though.

Love This Campground!
Sorry we are here for only one night. Pleasant checkin. Chris is soooo nice. Sites offer view of Lake Michigan with full hookup. Also fire pits and nice tables. Sites with Lakeview may be a bit close for some. Really did not see the bridge from our campsite but you can when you walk across the road to their small private beach. They have benches and picnic table available down by the water too. Quiet campground with a nice laundry and a quiet road between the campground and the lake that is used by bikers and runners. I'll be back next year and will stay longer. Thanks Chris for offering a great park at a reasonable price. They offer Good Sam discount.
