this is one of the best Parks Michigan has to offer. iv stayed in a lot of state parks and this one by far was the nicest , trails , beach , wild life , and history in town.

One of the nicest state parks so far for us! We had a paved, woodsy site (124) with some shade near bathhouse, have small 22’ class B. FYI, nicest paved sites to reserve early on the lake with no dunes are 65, 66, 67 & 70. 45 is paved and near bathhouse with lake view. Best value for us out of staters is the park pass. $33 for one year. Been all over MI for 3 weeks using county and state parks. Bathrooms are clean and lots of showers for de-sanding after beach days!

Peaceful and Beautiful Park
This is a beautiful park and very peaceful. The site I had (32) was very large and shaded. The campground is fairly small and enjoyable to walk in. There are trails that go to the river which are very nice and well marked. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. I will definitely stay in this park again.

Lake View
I’d only stay here if you can get a lake view spot on the north end. Otherwise it’s crowded and tight. I felt sorry for people who had a site on my he road side, as it’s loud and not real nice. We had site 63 and it was gorgeous.

Port Crescent
Very narrow campground, newer bath house was very nice & clean. Hot water in the showers. Never a wait for toilets or showers. Sites 1-51 are on the road side. They need to plant about 200 pine trees btw the road and the campground fence because you can hear and see the traffic. Gorgeous views and camp sites are very close. Not much privacy.

Mr
This is a diamond in the ruff, needs water runoff management (new road ) the sites are in need of leveling, road need replacement, rest rooms need better cleaning, the views are the best.

Nice
I liked the park. Pretty sunset. New bath and shower nice. Old privy vault not so much. Campground is narrow. Very close to highway. You can hear the traffic.
