First Time For Dog

We tried this park as trial for our new dog. Our lot#167 was very big but scattered with trees. Once we figured out where to set up it was great. Quiet and shady. We all enjoyed the beach especially the dog.

Nice Campground

During our Lake Huron Circle Tour, this was our first stay at the Sleeper State Park campground. We chose to take a chance and walk-in rather than paying a $10 reservation fee by booking online or calling the toll free number. Check in was easy, staff (especially Park Ranger Mr. Chris) was very helpful, informative and friendly. Campground is across the street from the beach. All sites were full the entire 12 nights, before, during the 4th of July and after the holiday. Barking dogs and quiet time is strictly enforced. Park, restrooms and showers were always clean. Recommend staying at least one week, lots to see and do there or within a 30 min drive.

Circle Tour Gem

We stopped here during our circle tour of Lake Huron. We love Michigan’s State parks, and this is a great example. The sites were large and well groomed. The staff was courteous, and they had daily educational activities for the family. Also available are a great beach and a nice trail.

Fathers Day Weekend

We had an absolutely great time! It rained the whole time so we could not enjoy all of the plans we made but the camp ground waa beyond gorgeous and the bathrooms were the most clean bathrooms yet!
