Great Views, Great People, Good Faciliti
The highway noise is barely noticeable, so I don't get why people are complaining about that. I was very disappointed in the wifi but that was the only real let down. They pump up the supposedly great wifi but we found it spotty and unreliable. Toilets and shower - superb. Views awesome. They have firewood and ice for sale at reasonable prices. Lots are enormous.

Toy Hauler And Side By Side
Helpful staff , fairly clean bathrooms and shower . Full hook up ! Electric water and sewer . $41.00 per night . Coming out the gate to the right , you can find a old railroad grade trail . Road noise wasn't too bad . Lots of space in between the lots . Fire ring with a grill . Grate beach and view . Town is made to serve . Second time we have been there .

Lovely little site. Yes, it’s close to the road , but many RV parks are. And I didn’t hear a thing. Yes,there are some holes in the road, but find me a $30 CITY park that doesn’t. Very friendly. Even has a little book exchange. And very good free WiFi. What’s not to like? I’ll be back

Ok, But
We like state campgrounds. This is a worn campground. Streets some asphalt, most sand and gravel. You will hear road noise constantly in the back half. Highway 28 is 30’ from sites Sitting outside to relax is not an option Only tree sites are on right side and on lake. Only scenic sites are one the lake, otherwise just looking at campers. Sites are larger than normal but people set RV wherever, on the gravel pad, on the grass, perpendicular to the pad. Dump station. did not use bathrooms. It is cheap compared to others, but I would not stay again. Would pay more to relax. It is close to towns, boat tours etc.

They Lie
We pulled into their overflow area for 5 campers. By late afternoon, it became 8 campers with not enough room for a picnic table. When the trailer next to us put out its slide, it was less than a foot distance . If they had mentioned that initially, we would have considered whether to stay or not. We complained but the original guy we dealt with was off duty and present management literally told us to pound salt

Right on the water. Dropped our kayak in right at our campsite on the beach. Sunsets were fantastic. People were nice. Full hook ups and big spaces along the shore. We have a 40' plus dolly and car, fit just fine!

We stayed here for 3 nights in Oct 2019. Our site #93 was beautiful and large (we have a 44' toy hauler). Several people asked if they could come thru the site b/c our shorefront was so nice with a big piece of driftwood. No reservations after Sep 26 so the check in process was not the best. No one was in the office and a sign of open sites was on the window. Pick a site and set up camp. We choose one and set up, thinking someone had left behind a door mat and hose on the site from a previous stay. After getting set up, went back to the office to pay for the site. A worker was there and we found out our site was spoken for. We had to move (hense those items left behind). Moved to site 93 and while irritated with the process we ended up in a nicer site! It was level, grassy & amazing views! Close to the bathhouse which was very clean (we didn't use as we had full hookup). Dirt roads need a bit of attention as rain pools up quite a bit. Overall great experience and we will be back!

We stayed in site 96 which was very level r of Grand Island. It was great to walk from the camper over a small dune onto the soft sand of the beach. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table. Though the sites were packed next to each other we still felt private and peaceful. The only minor complaint is the restroom and shower facilities were fairly small relative to the large number of visitors that could camp there. The restroom was fairly clean.

Fantastic!
Large level sites, lots of grass, trees and Superior beach front. The best CG we have stayed at in 6000 miles of touring.

Kids LOVED It!
We have 4 kids - 10 and under. We were able to book one night right on the lake. It was beautiful! The kids had a blast on the beach. We had to move to another site for two more nights (my fault I did not book soon enough). Wished we could have been on the lake more - if you can get the lake site even for one night. The other site was good too - a little road noise - we didn’t notice that at all on the lake. Clean bathrooms. Would defiantly stay again. Playground was not that great but we had the lake.

Stayed overnight here to see Pictured Rocks, had full hook up. Fine for a night or two, road outside of CG quiets down at night, no issue with windows closed and AC.

A Bit Of A Stretch
The view of the lake is nice. The view of the sun set from the beach is really great. The staff are s pleasant and helpful. The negative side is the campground noise is a bit much. The highway has these slowdown bumps that are annoying if you leave your windows open. The roads in the campground are not paved and are sandy/muddy. The bathroom floors are covered in sand that’s tracked in from the roads. It is what it is.

Enjoyed our stay here, even extended a night past our original plan. This time of year it's first come for sites. Mixture of tents, small trailers, 5th wheels and motorhome. Many sites along lake shore, beautiful sunsets. Good staff, definitely a do again if in the area.

Nice city park. Online reservation system worked. Could use more shade trees, but they have planted them so it will just take some time. You can pull your boat right up to the sandy beach.

Nice level grass site. Camped of season, but it was full on a Friday night. Clean showers & restrooms. Close to Lake Superior, some sites right on the Lake. People were really friendly.

Camping Trip
What a wonderful place! Right on the lake! Very very clean bath rooms. Showers are on the other side of the building from the toilets. They also had wifi. You could hear the main road a little but you forget about it quickly with a view like that! Will definitely be back!
