The lake is beautiful, and it is nice that the lake shore frontage is shared space for all to enjoy and is not assigned sites.
The campsites are crammed in and 4 sites share one electric post. Our 3 neighbors were all pushing the limits of their site boundaries with their extra Off-road vehicles , and we couldn’t back-in a good position to reach the electric post. We were lucky it was mid-week so the ranger could let us change to a site further from the lake with more room. Bring an extension cord! Come mid-week.

Silver lake - Crowded!!
The campsites are almost on top of each other. The area was jam packed with people during the Covid pandemic. This area is overly developed with dunes buggy attractions and water parks - a lot like Wisconsin Dells. Stay away if you want peace and quiet.

Perfect Stop
We didn’t plan on staying in silver lake but because the camp was so nice we stayed 2 nights right on the waterfront. Really nice park rangers at front

Restful
Quiet park. Electricity, water, showers, and bathroom. Shaded by pine and oak trees. Overall very pleasant. We arrived at 6:00 pm. Sign said open at 8:00. We assumed am they meant pm. They were a little peeved. Maybe they should improve their sign. I liked the park.
