A great spot for some secluded camping. Great work by the Staff that's keeps up these primative sites. Easy beach access, good water at th station, and clean latrines.

Nature At Its BEST!
We absolutely love this campground! Be very aware there is nothing close if you've forgotten something. Engadine, to the northeast is definitely the closest. The 6 mile drive into the campground is absolutely beautiful. The rest rooms were cleaned daily by the DNR. Very quiet and the sites were nice. I would say around 1/3 of the sites were a tad hilly for an rv but the rest were perfect. Rv size nothing more than a 20-25'. We were there on a holiday weekend and it still did not fill up all 23 sites. There are plenty off hiking paths but I recommend skeeter and tick spray. We sprayed and still had ticks on us. I would definitely stay here again as we plan on it in the fall.

Woodsy and on Lake Michigan
This campsite is nestled in a beautiful section of state forest at the end of a six mile dirt road. The campground has access to a small sandy beach on Lake Michigan and has a few hiking trails as well. We saw lots of wildlife, including a coyote and a porcupine! The sites are medium to large sized, and the dense woods add a good amount of privacy. Many sites are level or fairly close to level. Great place to stay if you're looking for some nature!
