Multiple Night Stay
The staff were friendly and helpful. Amenities were clean. The location is convenient to the sights. DC and Annapolis are about 30 minutes away. If you are visiting DC, you can take the MARC Penn Line directly into Washington or the Metro Red Line at New Carrollton into the city. Both are within close proximity to the RV park. Expect to pay more because of the location to nearby attractions. The WiFi wasn’t great which surprised me given the overall cost to stay at the park and its proximity to a town (Odenton). Expected better service. The sites at the entrance (50 amp service) appear level. Sites in the back are not level and the roadway is narrow and difficult to maneuver with larger units. Given the shortcomings, I would stay again

Perfect
Fantastic little camp ground. The staff was wonderful. Ton of amenities packed into a small camp ground. Stay here and explore our nation’s capital

Nice Facilities
There are no other campgrounds nearby.
Very nice facilities park is clean sites are large enough for a fifth wheel or any class A.
Very helpful during the crisis as soon as the park opened they allowed us to come in and stay for an extended period of time.
Lived in the area for a long time never ventured to Capital KOA and wished I would’ve utilized it in Past years.
Bob and Cheryl run the place and they do a great job of overseeing such a large operation.
Easy access and any facilities you need are close by.
Enjoy your stay at this KOA....

Labor Day Weekend. Busy But Nice.
Site are close together, but clean and level where we stayed (#29). The sites are a bit short for our 5er so we parked in over flow. And the 30amp pedestals on the row we parked on were at the front of the site. 43' rv with a 35' cord (who's idea was that?)... big thank you to Bob F in maintenance for graciously loaning us an extra 30 amp cord!
Quieter than we expected being that close to the freeway.
Playground is very nice and clean. My 4yr old loved the bouncing pillow.
About 15 min to the rail station to get to DC. We didn't use their shuttle bus but its available. Camp store has the essentials.
Overall 4 stars easily.

Expensive Shuttle
The way I read the information it sounded like the shuttle was included. We payed $58 for them to shuttle us to DC. Take the metro for just a few bucks.

Not Level
The back in sites are uneven, on a hill, and there is acorns or some large seed that falls from the trees. The bankers hours are the most inconvenient of any KOA we have stayed. It has a close proximity to Annapolis but the only transportation is Uber. I do not recommend.

...average
Our pull thru site was tight and still couldn't get level even on stacked 2x6's. Our site was missing the grill grate on the fire pit which was disappointing - some sites had them, some didn't. The kids enjoyed the small playground and the jumper pillow, and the dogs liked the fenced in designated dog park. If your child's "swimmies" are not lifeguard approved then you cannot use them in their pool. Overall just a small, average campground with minimal room for your tow vehicle.

Clean But Tight
Nice clean campground. The open sites are large and flat. The sites in the trees are tight and require leveling. Because the wooded sites are narrow, backing in requires some maneuvering that could be pretty tricky depending on your rig. The sites really do not have adequate parking for your tow vehicle. Campground was quiet and the hosts were very nice. I would return to this campground. Very convenient to many attractions.

Never Again. Ever.
Stayed there last memorial day weekend. Had us pulled in like cord wood. Tight, overcrowded, loud, obnoxious campers, and NOTHING like 99% of the other KOAs we have stayed at. Office staff was awful, repeated police activity to certain sites over the weekend (mobile meth lab could have been possible, from the looks of some of them) and difficult to navigate and park with our 23 footer, so bigger rigs beware. This place has location going for the, and is generally full of loud Andrew drunk city weekend warriors who are not really RVers, and the office doesn't have to be nice I guess cuz they aren't hurting for money. Let me be clear - we belong to KOA and love almost every other one we have stayed at, but would NEVER again stay at this location. But we'd recommend any other KOA!
