Hidden Gem For RV Campers
This campground is a mixture of long-term residents, vacationers and a few over-nighters. Very friendly staff and guests.
The grounds appeared to be well-kept, although lacking some obvious long-term maintenance. Sites have 20 & 30amp electric and water service. Not sure if they had any 50 amp sites. There is a bath house and dump station on site. There is an old trailer used as a dumpster which is, unfortunately, parked next to a small junkyard visible to the tent campers.
What makes this quaint little park such a gem is two things:
1. The view is beyond spectacular. Ask for a site on the water. You will park just feet from the shore of the cove, which craddles several small islands. The cove appears perfect for kayaks and canoes (although we, unfortunately, didn't have time to try it out). There is beach access from the campground.
2. Quiet, quiet, quiet! The owner maintains strict rules regarding noise. There are no fireworks, generators or air-conditioning allowed.
