Not Bad But Be Prepared
Just got home from 3 night stay at Eureka - site 15. First - budget cuts at COE(Corps of Engineers) have halted paid camp hosts. All COE campgrounds now are hosted by volunteers. Not necessarily a bad thing. But budget cuts are showing up in the quality of maintenance (or lack of in most cases). There's a pile of gravel 200 ft. down the camp road just waiting to be used. We had a 2 hour rain and because of a lack of gravel a huge mud area was created where asphalt met gravel. We utilized the pull-thru because if we backed onto the level gravel we would've had to have about 75 ft. of 50 amp cord to reach the end of our camper. By utilizing the pull-thru part of the site - the mud created by lack of gravel was just a few feet from our steps. Also driftwood from recent floods was still everywhere - and I do mean EVERYWHERE. No attempt to clean it up had been made. Those were the only negatives. Eureka is a small campground but it's very peaceful and everyone was friendly.

We stayed here in June 2021 for 2 nights. Nice, quiet campground. Some sites are right on the water. There is also a roped off swimming area.

Most sites are right on the lake. No sewer, but they do have a dump station. Beautiful area at Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.
