Old And Outdated
Have to say it was a beautiful area to hike and explore but the state of Kentucky needs to go in and redo the campgrounds. Very small campground with blacktop spot for the most part that are very badly taken care of. I have 22 foot trailer and could not get into the site assigned due to the narrow one lane road with sites cramped together. They do have some first come first serve sites up by small store and I would recommend those. Bathrooms were clean but store and staff were not open or around on daily basis. Even single axel trailer were taking a magic act to get into their spots.

Very Nice
Quiet, peaceful, clean. Saved $16 per night as a walk-in rather than reserving a site. Lovely hike to the falls and saw a double rainbow! Clean bathrooms with hot showers!

Visited But did Not Stay
Wonderful hiking trails! Very well marked and many scenic spots.....down side the falls were pretty but hardly the Niagara of the South! Highly marketed and targeted to tourists....not even the moonbow week end and it was packed! Did not see one ranger and communication seriously lacking. Could not find an information booth. The clerk in the gift shop was able to find a xeroxed copy of a map showing the trails for us. If the trails had not been so good, I would have rated this an epic fail!

Loved It
Highly recommend, beautiful state park bordering the Daniel Boone National Forest. Offers something for everyone ( hiking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, swimming pool ) Be sure to check your site size ( and pictures of the site ) before you book. While some sites are small and tight others are not. We hand an amazing site (21). However we booked 3 months in advance. We can't wait to return!!!

Tight Spaces
The sites are small and close. We have a 25ft Airstream, and it took about 15 minutes to get it backed into the site where we were able to put out the awning. The bathrooms were dated, but usable. The WiFi is good throughout the park. The laundry area had newer equipment for a good price.
