Love this campground! Very clean and well maintained. All back in sites. Bike trails to enjoy and beach. Updating is in process for bathrooms and beach house but still lots to do and the water is clear. Boating and kayaking is a fav here.

Great Place

This was our first trip to the Shawnee area and was very happy with the campground. We showed up on a Tuesday, the day after father's day and expected to have or pick of sites. There were only about 5 camper spots left and those filled up by the end of the day. I can see why the campground is a popular place. Nice trails around lake, nice beach, and very friendly neighbors while we camped. Sounds like many are repeat visitors and we most likely will be too. Nice gravel sites that stayed relatively dry during the overnight downpour. Clean bathhouses, firewood, and ice on site.

This is a MUST camp here spot! Tent only sites do offer a fair amount of privacy and you are not on top of the next camper. $12 for single tent only, $24 for double tent only. $22 for electric/water site $44 for double electric/water. There is a dump station. We arrived to a VERY clean camp site! The camp host cleans up after messy campers and there was a group of messy campers! (Messy campers are no reflection on the camp grounds) The bathrooms have showers and are cleaned each morning and checked/cleaned a couple times a day. We were told squirrels can steal from your camp site but had no issues with them. We didn't even see or hear raccoons! There is a boat ramp and a beach. $4 beach entry fee. I believe the lake is electric motor only. Nice trail to hike around the lake and several trails in the area. Garden of the Gods is a must see/hike. I definitely will camp here again and I highly recommend everyone camp here! The camp managers and host are delightful, friendly helpful people
