3 star. Because Ok I'm a nobody. But I've tent camped and recently went to rv camping the camp ground is kept up very well. The entrance says shawnee national forest but you write your check or give your money to a family not the forest service which I strongly don't agree with I also noticed on my walks that there is a closed to traffic road but yet there is a camper belonging to said family again don't agree with I personally won T be back again cause I'm not going to support a family. When I can support the national forest service

One of the best campgrounds I've ever been too. Very clean and well maintained. The hosts are awesome! Spots are level and beautiful. Beautiful scenery. Can't wait to go back.

One of the Best

Beautiful, private sites. Very well maintained. Helpful hosts. Clean, warm enough showers. Sites are large and fairly level. Not too busy most of the time, but may be busy in hunting season. We're planning another visit soon.

Second Trip

I was going to put a second review but discovered my first review is gone!?!? We spent 4 nights at this campground, leaving 12/26/17. Even though it was winter, it is very obvious that this campground is very well maintained. We also camped here inJune of 2017 and the camp managers, as well as the hosts, are very nice and friendly. This has got to be the best maintained, groomed and cleanest campground I have ever been. This gem should not be passed up!

Camper

Lovely older campground, family and children friendly. Shady sites and love the lake and it's Sandy beach with shallow waters,edge plus lifeguards. GREAT for children

Beautiful!

This campsite was lovely! Set on the lake with a beautiful trail circumnavigating the lake, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly.
