No Thanks
We decided to bite the bullet and spend almost $90 a night at this KOA because the appeal of having a fenced in area for our dog at our site seemed awesome (we've seen them at other koa's but are waaayyy to cheap to spend that amount of money). The site we were given had a portable pen that our 80# lab MIGHT have enough room to pee in.
Generally the sites that are fenced are roomy with a patio in it, but not this one. The "patio" was a small slab off the parking area (gravel parking, patio pad off stairs), then right behind the neighbors site was the pen.
The reason they got 3 stars was because they understood the frustration and refunded our stay. Cost us close to 3 hours in the car.

Decent CG In A Pinch
We had to leave a horrible CG to the south. Booked this site on app the day before. Which was a huge plus. This KOA has very limited full hook up sites. As far as KOA standards, it is not great. It is about an hour and half from Chicago and Milwaukee We paid for the deluxe patio site, which had no sewer. Site was not level. Had horrible WiFi, no cable and limited reception. One bathroom and shower was nice, the other was disgusting. Pool was ok, but tons of kids. CG was very kid friendly, with tons for them. The people running the place were still COVID crazy with restrictions for check in and everything else. But what do you expect in crazy Illinois. Makes you insane, when you come from the free parts of the US.

Will Be Back
Great family campground. Well maintained with friendly staff and good service. They have a text line so if you need ice, firewood, or anything else just send the text and someone comes by in less then 10 minutes with what you need. Best campground in Northern Illinois. Will be back.

Had A Great Time Here!
Only the 2nd time camping in our new RV, and we loved staying here for a nice long weekend. Has a great playground and lots of games and activities for kids, fall activities included wagon rides, Halloween decorations, trick-or-treating for kids, and movies in a theatre for kids. The sites are very close together, all sites are gravel or grass for the tent sites, and all the hookups seemed to work very well. We will be back next year!

Nice Campground
Overall, a good place to stay with kids. The sites are a little tight but lots of fun things for kids to do.

Nice Campground, Very Nice Staff
Stayed for one overnight. Sylvia was extremely friendly and helpful. Campground staff knew that I was new to camping and came by to check on me. Facilities are well maintained.

Very average
Not a great campground, ok for a few nights, which is what we used it for last August. Some full time spots there that looked a little unkept. The pool was freezing! Which was strange, it was late August. Staff was friendly but the park is old and in need of some updates.

Good Place To Stay
Family friendly and organized. Great playground, staff are friendly and helpful. Had lots of information of the surrounding area as well as great directions to get into Chicago.
