Nice Quite Spot

This is a very calming and peaceful campground around the lake. Stayed in a tent site alongs with other very nice people. Zack was very helpful getting us registered and into the site. Recommended.

Nice Campground

We have stayed here twice now and both times have found it to be a nice place to stay. There are mostly full season campers here but all seem to be friendly and helpful. Because they don’t get a lot of weekend campers they are not overly staffed which make this a very hard place to camp without a reservation. Both times I have called the manager in advance and made a reservation. I have also called him about an hour before our arrival and I’ve always found him waiting in the office when we get there. Sites are spacious and easy to get into. Lake Sara is a nice ‘all sport’ lake and you can tie up a boat within walking distance of most campsites. Boat launch and free public beach very close. Very much worth a stay if you can put in a bit of effort before hand.

Illinois Travelers

Questionable park. Tried to stay in this park last August. No one taking care of the office but there was a telephone number to call. Tried calling with no answer. I finally gave up and left in pursuit of another campground. I will not return to this camp ground.
